My girlfriend got invited to a meet-and-greet from one of her Facebook groups, and I got dragged along (sort of, I drove half the trip in my own car). I was extremely nervous, because it was an all-female thing and I'd never actually MET any of these women. I was freaked out about the idea of being the only "man" in the room, since I left straight from work to meet up with her and ride the rest of the way, no time in between to change or priss over myself as I prefer to do before going out.
So, we get to the hotel it's taking place at, we walk in, of course everyone recognizes her right off the bat from her profile picture, but nobody has any idea who I am. Anxiety and dysphoria immediately flare up hard. I flip, go outside to smoke and gather myself, and when I walk back in, she's apparently introduced me as Julia (first time I've EVER heard her use my chosen name), and everyone is using female pronouns with me, treating me like I'm just one of the girls. I even got offered a makeover!!!

it was just absolutely amazing!!!
