I also went to sportsworld.

It was after a wedding. We all went there for the day after going out for breakfast at this super shady diner.

I ended up having food poisoning.

Considering the restaurants in that part of town, I'm not surprised.  :(

We came from Neill Wycik Co-op in Toronto and took a bus full of us...
I remember the party on the bus. Damm...

I lived in London in 1974/75 - I moved there when I 'transitioned' and was living there when I had SRS. I had a good "team" at the University Hospital and helped them establish their "gender clinic" - I was "the first one they had ever seen" LOL! Don't know if the clinic is still operating or if the government took it away from them and sent everyone to the Cluck Institute (actually it was the Clark Institute but "Cluck" was more appropriate!)

Hi Northern Jane, By the name do you live up North?

I am originally from Sudbury?

I am not sure if their is a Clark area?

I moved here in '78, I was only 12.
I honestly do NOT like this city. Maybe because I was taken away from my home town and all my friends?

How do you feel about Sudbury? I've never lived there, but I'm mad for the look of the town.

i just went back last summer and so much has changed.

I went back to a few of my places where I lived and wow...

But I think it's changed for the better.

If I could I would move back. But being unemployed and on ODSP due to my
illness really wouldn't make any sense.
  •

Mado G

Not to pry, but wouldn't your ODSP move with you as long you staying within the province?

Hi Northern Jane, By the name do you live up North?

I do not give out my 'street name'. I am not open to strangers about my past and prefer to leave it lay dead.

QuoteI am not sure if their is a Clark area?

The Clark Institute started doing "gender research" under Ken Zucker in the 1970s but Zucker  was an advocate or "repairitive therapy" and believed trans was a mental disorder that could  be cured with therapy so he was hardly unbiased and their "studies" were aimed at proving HRT and SRS were NOT valid treatments for GID. The Clark became part of the CMHA I believe. Zucker did  a GREAT deal of damage and it is good that he is gone.

Just to clarify I wasn't asking for your street name, just the northern city you live in.... :)

I have lived, worked, or studied in Toronto, London, Ottawa, Kirkland Lake, Montreal, and Edmonton (and now live in none of those places LOL!)

Rumour has it that regime change has done them well.

I see you're in Petawawa. Out of curiosity, are you accessing care in Ottawa or North Bay?

I am familiar with that particular tome, having first encountered it at a lovely dacha on Lake Rosseau. I did manage to obtain a copy for our own wc, however after a series of moves, I have since lost track of it. Perhaps a trip to Cobalt or New Liskeard is in order...
