"An 18-year-old Tampa man was arrested Wednesday, accused in the slaying of India Clarke, a 25-year-old transgender woman whose body was found last week in a University Area park, deputies said.
Keith Lamayne Gaillard, who had a "personal relationship" with Clarke, faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal, according to an arrest affidavit released by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Gaillard turned himself in Wednesday morning after a warrant was issued for him on the weapons charge."
