I have a different experience than everyone else.
I followed their measurements and emailed back and forth just to make sure I would get the right size because I kept seeing guys having to go through the hassle of returning due to getting the wrong size(mostly too small). So I measured in between large and xlarge, and went with a large because my shoulders aren't huge or very broad, I'm a particularly small guy. I can't say if its the perfect size for me but it doesn't feel too small that I can't breath or too big that it doesn't bind. I guess I'm used to the tightness and roughness of the underworks.
It didn't take long to come in the mail.
It wasn't hard at all for me to get on like everyone else has said, but I never really had a problem getting on any binder including underworks. I do slip it over my head.
The first couple of days it was really rough and itchy on the binding part, and I noticed it loosens up quick. The extra fabric and stitching at the end of the front panel always leave marks on my sides and make me itchy by the end of the day. The hole for your head seems small to me, once I have it on I feel the neck line isn't low enough. Sometimes the back park feels like the two layers get twisted up and I feel myself pulling on it, its a weird sensation, makes me feel like my binder is showing though I don't know because I can't really see my own back out in public. These are personal things that bother me, not sure if anyone else has experienced this.
It is really soft on the back and outside. I really like the feel over clothes compared to underworks. Its comfortable, like wearing a shirt rather than underworks' hard material.
I can't say it binds any better or worse than underworks because like I mentioned it does lose its binding throughout the day for me, it seems to get pretty loose. With that said I do still wear my underworks because I feel flatter sometimes with it. But I'd have to say that it has helped with the pain in my neck and shoulders that I'd get while binding with underworks for a few hours. I don't get that with the gc2b, not once while wearing it. Where with underworks it was an everyday thing.
The odd thing is I was wearing a large in underworks too, but only because a friend ordered the wrong size and handed that one over to me. I've heard everyone say gc2b is different sizing then whatever else they wear.
I'd compare the feeling of it to the lesloveboat binder I have, soft and pliable.
Overall, yes I'd recommend it. Its very soft and comfortable. But I have not had the experience of everyone who's said its gotten them really flat. It does bind just not as well as I've seen or thought it would for me. And I do plan on getting more from them.
T m i: I forgot to mention I have sensitive skin so this material feels way better against it then underworks. And I get a rash from heat, sweat with no breathability, and skin being pushed down/rubbing, and it seems to be better with this binder than underworks. My skin isn't super sensitive but its enough that I get that weird rash because of binding.
I might try out the longer version, but I'm not fond of tucking in the fabric like the longer underworks.
