hi, i'm stephanie.  i haven't posted here in awhile...  but i really need help.  you see i was diagnosed with AIDS in 1995 and given 3--5 years to live. so i quit school, refocused my priorities and madness ensued.  then i stuck a needle of hep c in my vein-- just for the technocolour/ neon vib.. so i wound up in hosp. with hepatitus encepholopathy-- basically a 'split from reality'  for three months.  then i aquired avascular necrosis-- a progressively, degenerative bone disease requiring surgery.  and to top it off i got 3.5 inches removed from my right leg.  so im in a wheelchair.  and i really have way too few friends.  so if there is someone or anybody willing to talk with me about TRANSISTIONING please, contact me.  i wish everyone love and freedom!  and happiness!!!!  with my deepest praise, stephanie

p.s.  i dont talk like that in real life.  But, honestly, i really need some girls i can talk to.  being alone is hard.  thanks steph
Don't really know what to write here...  So I'll just write a little about myself.  For conciseness, I am a 48 y/o pre-op transsexual who's in a wheelchair.  I'm wheelchair bound due to AVN(avascular necrosis) which took three and a half inches from my right femur and I acquired due to HIV.  I got infected by the first man I was ever with.  So, after spending 40+ years in Texas and getting three felonies, I decided to move to San Francisco.
  I got here in 2010 and continued to drug myself until something happened...  I don't remember exactly what happened, but I do know I did something to ease my pain, which didn't help and I ended up in the ER.  After that, mind you I could still walk, barely, I was diagnosed with avascular necrosis.  Immediately I was sent to a hospital in really bad shape.  I was addicted to a copious amount of drugs and weighed less than 90lbs.  I was near death.  I spent two and a half years in hospital, quit drugs, got my own place and am doing quite well.

Well turning to a spiritual viewpoint helped many people.
You might try to find things you are grateful for... seeing them expand...
like the sunshine... birds outside... etc...

letting completely go of old anger... just writing it off... and just enjoy what is now...
being happy in the moment...

Hello Stephanie, I feel your pain. I don't have any life threaten health issues, but I'm alone a lot. I came off an 8 year drug addiction. So when you walk away from that people don't hang with you as much. But anyway I'm here if you need to chat.

  Hi Steph, I know a little about AVN and how damaging it can be to the body. My wife suffers from that disease, which is causing the bones in her major joints to die. She has had a shoulder and a hip replaced with the other ones on their way. Her life is all about pain management and the will to live on. She is the toughest person I know and my hero. So, I know the physical pain you must suffer from. I am sorry to hear about the struggles you have and are going through. I wish you the best.
  As far as transitioning, I am just starting out, so I cannot offer much advice.

wow girl you really do have some harsh luck but thanks for writing and sharing.  Give us a minute and we can fill the hour with tales from transylvania and our transition.  More importantly, what aspects of transitioning are significant for you now?
