Thanks! It's from Zara! I've been loving the whole Fendi accessory thing, but they're too expensive, so I love that Zara is trying this out!

I did end up going out with that, not sure if i got looked at too much. I wasnt looking up too much, as my beard shadow & the fact that i'm using a wig really get to me. Clothing wise I'm not often too concerned, as - after all you get women in all shapes and sizes, and I think i'm pretty down with my body.

Its the face that always kills me. I'm 3 laser session in, and have yet to see any reduction in my beard shadow, especially in the lips & chin area.

Can't wait till I can go out without 50 layers of makeup and my real hair.

Oh who cares anyway what they think! And its very true, people have a very skewed image of what a woman should be, even we fall victim to that! Damn Candice and her hips *shakes fist*... but anyway
I'v not started lasser either, waiting for HRT first!
Maybe the shadow takes a while because the remenants of roots must be absorbed by the body and maybe the hair pores will close up after a while? I know nothing about it, but id suspect this may be the case!
Yes with hair you should be quiet good!
All in time my dear! :)
Hugs, Christine.

Thanks Christine! (Btw - if you havent started HRT and that is your display picture I am deathly jealous of you). Honestly if I was anywhere else in the world I wouldnt care as much, but! Being in a predominantly muslim country - well passing becomes a lot more important. What's more because i'm still closeted trans. Further more, i'm pretty sure that If one can pass, and is en-femme passing, and you walk past someone who might know you they probably wont recognize you, unless you call attention to yourself (such as by not passing).

Hey guys! I'd finally like to post something and get feedback! But I'm more concerned about my body shape than my face since I still have a way to go in that department! So, is active wear with a sports bra top allowed? I would really like feedback on my shoulders and hip to waist ratio but IDK if I'm allowed to do that way. Thanks!!
Trying to take it one day at a time :)

Im not a moderator so I'm not sure, but I can't see how that wouldn't be allowed!

Not really asking if I pass or not because I am far too early in my transition (only around 5 months) and I don't wear makeup and I'm not necessarily trying to present since I'm still working on hair removal and such. I'm 43 years old and hope to be fully out and about living full time as soon as I am done with laser hair reduction. Hopefully I do this right and the pictures show up properly.

This is my absolute favorite wig. :)

How I am doing "boy mode".

How my body is shaping up...

A couple months before starting HRT...

This thread is about if you pass or not. But there are some "I look fabulous" threads at Susan's place that is made so you can post so many picture you want to without getting comments about passing abilities. If you don't want comments about passing, I recommend you the other thread more than this one. :)

Probably should have said something more along the lines of I am not sure if I am ready to ask if I pass or not because of how early I am in my transition... that would have been better. It would be nice to get some opinions as to how I am progressing though, especially considering my age and lack of makeup.

I think wearing a bit of makeup will help you with your presentation. I think most women wear it and some just deny it to make it appear they are natural :) sigh lol

Anyways, I think your hair suits you in both pictures. It just gives you a different look and attitude.
First pic, looks like you are just regular gal - more mainstream.
Second pic, looks funky with lots of attitude. It reminds me of Pink.

Good luck and I think you are ready to go out there.

I went out as Katelyn to my trans group support meeting last night. It was my first extended period of time as myself with other people around. Afterwards I went to a few stores and didn't get any strange looks at all. What do you think? Pass?

(I've no idea if I have commented to you before or not. If I have wrote to you before, I may have forgot it. But I guess I've commented how much pass or not abilities you had earlier)

You have something "suspecting" with you. Your face is round and feminine from this angle. I'm not sure how you look from other angle, so I can't comment that. But your nose is a bit large and that means masculine. But the main thing that are revealing are your amount of makeup. A bit makeup is a good thing. But when you use too much, it looks like you're hiding something and that make you look more suspecting. You do kinda pass. I can't see you're trans, but it seems like you're hiding on something. It's smart to use makeup, but not too much. If the skin looks more natural, you wouldn't get so many stares.

So, here I am again sans makeup. I sometimes get "mistaken" for a girl by strangers. What do you think?

Started HRT in October, 2014. Orchiectomy in August, 2015. Full-time in July, 2016!

If you need an understanding ear, feel free to PM me.

You have beautiful eyes.

You could try some bangs covering the forehead, fixed with hairpins ...

you could try a nourishing product on the face, like coconut oil ...
and you could try lip balm or a chapstick.
Those make for a groomed look which people associate with femininity.

Show some cleavage  :)
Alone a deeper cut out shirt makes for some cleavage.
Ligher colours of blouses make for more optical volume there.

Thanks, Laura! I do try to pull my hair into a sideswept bang most of the time. Here's an example, excuse the Mountain Dew:

And here's what I looked like a few months before starting HRT (for comparison and nightmare fuel):

I think I pass really well when I have makeup on, but I'm mostly interested in what you all think of my face without any effort put into it. I'll post some makeup shots sooner or later.

You look much happier now  :)

You could look up photos of Isley Reust. She has her hair cut exactly to cover brows and forehead. Would that be a possibility ?
Advantage would be no more hassle with hairstyle. The hairs fall naturally that way.

Another one to fix the hair a bit with pins.
You might give it a try, it might make a real difference. Just trying out :)

Imo the hint with a nurturing product is not much hassle either. Its a short few minutes to spread some oil on the face and usually its noticeable throughout the day. And its nourishing for the skin. It can make for a really good impression.

Imo you pass in the first picture.

So this is without make up?! You look hot! Definitely pass for sure imo

Emma, if people think you are female in public, that is much more validation than you will get here. I think you will be lovely. I generally hate to comment in these threads but I do monitor them. So, from me, let me just say you are doing very well.

Thanks so much, Laura, haeden, and Cindi. I know that I'm not a picture perfect success story yet, and I probably never will be, but I think my results so far are pretty dramatic. Most days I can't even see a boy anymore.
