Getting rid of the moobs?

My doctor said ages ago that if I lose weight my boobs and hips will be smaller? I'm 5ft8in and 80kg and last time I wore an over shoulder boulder holder it was a 36B and so I'm assuming I'm still that?! Idk. But I've recently started trying to lose weight because I don't like feeling fat and because I read that even with decent proper binders like underworks I'm likely to still end up having a heart attack or my ribs collapsing into my lungs. I just wish the mountains would go away because they make me feel rubbish. And sure if I lost weight and my hips got smaller that would be awesome too. And my thighs because I couldn't fit into medium swim shorts because of those (but large fell down even if I tied them up super tight...?!)
Anyway I've restarted tracking my meals and I've been taking my dog on longer walks and so far I've lost like 5kg and so I've been wondering if any guys have found that losing weight would make the undesirable parts shrink? Because I know I won't be able to have surgery until I'm in adult services because the NHS say so and because it is the NHS it will take at least four years longer than that before surgery is even near and I'd really like to not have to bind as much.

I'm a 36B too and use a medium GC2B binder. It doesn't crush my ribs at all and makes me quite flat. Sorry but I don't know any exercises that would help, I wish I did  ;)
They/them pronouns preferred.

Do you have some sort of medical condition apart from being trans that makes these more likely?  A properly sized binder, while it may cause some rib deformation after prolonged binding, meaning years (though there have been cases of injury after a short period of binding, it generally comes out that the binder was too small and/or the wearer was wearing it unsafely) should not cause either of these things to happen.

Whether or not your breasts and hips will shrink through weight loss depends on how much fat makes up your breast vs how much of it is breast tissue, same for your hips, it depends on how much of your hips are fat vs how much is your hip bone.

things didn't exactly "shrink" for me but I built a lot more muscle which helped shaped my chest. If you're looking to lose weight and decrease chest size then lots of chest exercises help, along with other things. Push ups and bench press will help you burn fat and build muscle. Cardio is your #1 friend if you want to lose weight/burn more fat and along with that, do core exercises like Russian twists, sit ups, and planks. Even just running or walking at a fast pace for at least 30 minutes 2-3 times a week can help you sooo much, in my case at least. Download the app "pump up" too! You can choose specific areas you want to work out on your body, how long you can go for and it will build workouts for you. As far as binding goes, I'd take it easy if you feel delicate. Always listen to your body and good luck!

While it is true that losing some fat will shrink your chest and hips, they will still be there...you will just be differently proportioned.  I tried that route for many years, trying to rid myself of the DDs through starvation.  Though I became emaciated, I still had breasts, and they were still large and horrifying.  I still had hips, which became more prominent (bony protrusions) because there was no fat left on them.  I am all for maintaining a healthy body through appropriate activity and mindful eating, but losing weight in general is not likely to change the body you were born into...  You may get some relief from your dysphoria, but you may not...just be careful about what you are doing and what goals you plan to attain.  Good luck!

There is no guarantee that the fat will leave the hips and boobs. Fat leaves where it wants to and nothing can be done to pick where. Your doctor needs a reality check. I'm not from the UK but if you are in therapy as a kid it should not take 4 years after that. The kid therapy should count as a total in the adult therapy.

While other commenters are right, you can't choose where the fat falls off, if you make significant weight loss, you should see an overall slimming of your figure, including hips and 'moobs.' I saw it happen with myself, and I only lost 35 lbs (16 kg). I went from around 183-5 to 148 lbs, and that was more than enough to see the moobs shrink. Granted, after binding for 7 months, they looked a little bit sadder and more droopy than I remember—but I started out with a much larger chest than you, around a 38-42D, depending on the bra.
