Breast Augmentation

My insurance just started covering breast augmentation for trans women. It's something that I think would make me feel positive about myself so, I'm starting the process of looking into it. I made an consultation with a surgeon near me who has done B.A. for trans women in the past, but I'm not really sure what I should be asking or looking out for. Does anyone who has been through this in the past have any tips or any resources that I should look at?

Are you done growing yet? This is a very important question. I did my BA before I finished growing and greatly regretted that decision. Another thing you'll want to do is get the bra size that is comfortable for you and when stuffed is the size you want. DO NOT let a surgeon tell you what size you should be. Holy smokes, I almost made that mistake too. But I was insistent in being smaller than my surgeon suggested.

You should read up on all aspects of BA. I don't care who you talk to, eventually the scar tissue will harden around them and they will be hard as rocks. It takes a dozen years or so for some, much less for others. Mine aren't hard yet but I'm still squeezing them and breaking the scar tissue that keeps wanting to grow there after thirty years.

My surgeon inserted mine through my armpits and there is no visible scarring. I truly liked this approach. If you have any other questions, just ask. I never know how much to post in one of these general queries.

Here's the best site I've run across on the topic. It's got tons of info and forums for both peer support and doctor questions. There's also many user-posted example pics. It's been around for many years and is quite helpful.

There is one thing to consider before doing BA and that is the difference between male and female chest. So making the pocket for the implant and positioning the implant is different in transwomen than in cis women. I suggest you see an experienced doctor with transwomen BA.

Could you elaborate on that?  I've been on HRT for almost 3 years.  I think that is long enough...  But what happens if it isn't?  I don't need a BA, but I do want a little different shape....  Dr Zukowski says he can do it.

have you tried bioidentical progesterone ?

Quite a few people say it helped with form... more rounded breasts... helping with the cone form...

I have gummi bear implant from Natrelle. I am very happy I got the implants from a very trans experienced surgeon only 1,5 years after starting hrt. I have still some growth but my breasts are looking great. I have overs (over the muscle) and choosed only 375ml implants. The scar is nearly invisible.

I was very sceptic before surgery but now I am very happy.

The type of the implant plays major role of how "hard" your boobs will be after surgery. I don't remember the exact brand of implants I had, but they are soft and nobody in million years will guess I had BA done. If interested I can search for the certificates somewhere to find out what brand were they

Mine are soft and you need experience to feel that I had BA.
