Pony

/facepalm @ Subject Title

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen of Susan's Place,

I currently go by Pony, both in cyber space and in IRL - as everyone seems to love this unique name that makes you smile when you say it. Relatively new to the forums, joined a few months back after lurking off and on for many years. Made some posts here and there, but now that I can put a face to my forum name I felt it was time to post an introduction. Yes today I uploaded an image of myself from today for my forum avatar.

This is a big deal for me, as I normally avoid the camera since when I see me, it's usually not 'me' if you get me. I'm sure you trans girls kind sorta yeah totally know what I mean. Fo sho.

And for the record, "I'm not Photoshopped, I'm just Photo-Hot!" Cha! Cha! Cha!

/lmao

I do my own makeup (always have), but got a lot better after a Mac store employee did a makeover to make me look 'like a natural woman' after walking in to the store as a man. Then I had a trans-specialist makeover my face as well, and learned a lot from both.

Yes, I'm a total goof and I'm not afraid to show it! ;)

I'm a 40-something MtF TG (bi-TS) taking her transition very slow and methodical. I get asked a lot by other transwomen, but I've yet to get on any hormones or have any surgeries. The only step I've taken so far is electrolysis, and I have a ways to go on that. What's nice is to date I've sincerely received zero pressure on any of these things, despite the perceived stigma that trans women try to convince you otherwise - haven't really seen that honestly.

Yep yep, read time and again how many Tgirls wished they had started Electro earlier since it takes so long, so I decided to do just that, start early! I've also started looking into full facial jobs Electro jobs, and might have just found one up in Buffalo NY.

I love to shop because I like to look GOOD and because I love to find an awesome deal! Yessir, I'm a deal hound. ARROOOOOOOO! LOL! I also like to shop with others and help them find outfits.

About me personally, I'm EXTREMELY honest, blunt at times, with my opinion. I can also come off at first as very egotistical or self-centered, but that's usually just because I'm excited. After I calm down I'm the quiet super-supportive friend that's a killer 'listener'. This is how I normally like to be, because it lets me get to know people better when they talk, and if they are faced with a problem or dilemma, it helps me read between the lines and see other issues at play, sometimes bigger, that they might want to address. I'm about treating the 'illness' not stopping the 'symptoms' kind of person.

As a result, my advice or responses can be a bit 'heavy' at times. This is why I normally just respond to people directly and don't engage in banter between posters, and often disclaimer my responses or make sure the person asking really wants to hear what I have to say. Everyone has an opinion which I respect, and don't believe in telling people they are wrong about their opinions, or that I'm 'right'. Actually that kind of behavior drives me frigging nuts when I see it, as I consider it 'forum bullying'. To me forums are a place when all people can contribute and help an individual with a dilemma. It's like group! We're all here to help, but we're not all gonna say the exact same thing! :D

Also I tend to be very verbose in text, as I LOOOOVE to type, and can just yammer on and on and on, and omfg it's another 'book post' by Pony, aAAHHHHHHHH!!!! But I'm aware of it, so I try and keep my responses toned down.

Yes I'm a natural blond, as you can tell. AmIright?

I used to run a lot when I lived in Houston, but these days I swim like crazy. It's been a lot easier on the joints, and surprisingly good for my skin - mine is naturally very oily. I'm like a fish all slick and slippery. Yeah that sounds attractive. /facepalm But the problem is I can't lose any more weight at this point, I'm just gaining muscle. EEK! Which is like so not why I got into it. I'm trying to slender down, not bulk up! Sooooooooo... totally going to have to reduce my foodie intake. BUT THOSE DARN OREOS ARE SO FRIGGING GOOD UGH!

Yep, total candy junky. It's the Swedish in me. No seriously, I'm of Swedish descent. Part of my family still lives over there and they're all totally sweet junkies too. Although I'm more into the chocolate ones.

And coffee. Mmmmm coffee. Oh that reminds me. Best Ice Cream Ever = Coffee with chocolate chips. Oh-Em-Geezo's! Put some Hershey's on top of that, little whip cream and... OMFG THERE GOES MY DIET or EATING FOR TODAY!

So um yeah, rambling a bit there. (See I toldja so!). But yeah, hit me up for advice if you got the guts to handle what I'm gonna say. Muah ah ah ahhhhh!

(How many Dork Points do I get for that last sentence? I'm stocking up here!)
:) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8)

Welcome to Susan's Place. My picture is about 30 years old and because I am behind the camera all the time it never gets a look at me. I am going to update my picture but my mother and hair cutter ganged up on me and scalped me so until I grow enough hair for a proper cut, I stay behind the camera.

I also like to solve problems and the harder the better so feel free to call on me if I can help you with anything.

Hi Pony, welcome to Susan's. It's wonderful to hear that your taking your transition at your own pace and that your ahead of the game on the hair removal. I should have started sooner on the hair removal myself. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Pony,

Welcome,

Don't know if you were kidding but it really is a lovely shot.

I am trying to go my own pace too but actually keep going. I suspect for all your diet problems and making of new muscle you are still in pretty good shape.

Hope you have  a smooth journey,

Joanna

Thank you for the compliment. It is appreciated it!  ;D

My ideal weight for my height and age is 160, and that's my target. The problem is I keep hovering about 170. Whenever I manage to get below it, I start finally eating away at that final part of fat around my waist, but it's hard to go below when my gf makes such good food! You know, the 'man pooch' that never seems to go away. So chewing away thru that has been hard, and when I work out harder, it ends up building my upper body - which I don't want more muscular.

My real option at this point is to lower my calorie intake and maintain my current work out regimen and maybe add in a little more cardio.

Yes, I'm in great shape. I swim laps 4-5 days a week. Averaging about 100 laps a week. Usually 20 at a time, but sometimes more.  :)
