In my experience so far, if a guy uses a stall, he takes fricking forever in there. Maybe it's just college guys but if a stall is taken the guy is in there for about 5 minutes or more. It's infuriating because they aren't even pooping the whole time, they just sit there.

I went in Wal-Mart's bathroom the other day, and of the two stalls, one was occupied, and the other had poo all over the inside and there were literally flies sitting on the toilet seat enjoying the view. I waited with my almost bursting bladder for 5 minutes, then the Wal-Mart employee finally comes out of the stall, and turns out he was just standing in front of the toilet on his phone (I guess pretending to go to avoid work). When he came out he stood on his phone in front of the mirror for another 5 minutes. If my voice wasn't so terrible, I would have yelled at him for his nonsense. If you're gonna pretend to use the toilet, at least do it in the big stall that no one's gonna wanna use.

I sat down to pee and I did not explain anything to anyone. People don't really care.

Also: some cis guys do sit down to pee. It's rare, and not talked about much, but some cis men just find it more comfortable.

In Germany they either wanted to or made it the law, IIRC, that everyone is to sit and pee

since this has to do with the bathroom, I went out last weekend to a bar with some of my friends, the bathroom there is small for the mens, one stall and two urinals close together. Anyway i went in and noticed the stall door open, so i went straight through it pretty fast cause i had to pee bad from the beer, and there was a dude in there taking a piss, i was like o ->-bleeped-<-, im sorry man, and walked out of the stall fast, he was pretty good about it, saying its no problem, it happens, he was also pretty drunk though, this other guy who was standing there started laughing and was like I would of told you, but i figured you were going to go to the urinal, so i stood there waiting for the stall, and told the guy i'm pee shy and he just laughed, pretty awkward situation, but it turned out alright lol

When I was going to school to be a veterinary assistant I had to take a basic human med sort of class. The teacher told us that standing to pee put a lot of stress on the prostate and increased the risk of cancer and such, so he sat to pee. He also trained his son to sit to pee. I just figured if it ever came up, I would tell people that. But guys don't care much, so I doubt it will ever come up.
