Hi Everyone

Me and my wife just made a video about how we came out to our young children. More to come. If you have any topics you want us to talk about please let me know! :)

Love your video and your obvious comfort with each other and your kids.  We have had more than a few threads here dedicated to coming out to and with kids.  Thank you for sharing and including the ASL feature.

when we told our son 15 yrs ago he thought it was cool and when we showed him cheryl he immediately fell in love with that part of me and still has no problems with me dressing up..he has stood up for a few t.g.s who were being rediculed and no one attacked him for it,but he is a trucker stands 6'4 and weighs 400lbs so they leave him alone.

What a fantastic video. You both have a wonderful relationship and I hope you can hold it together for the rest of your lives. You seem so happy and work well together. You are also both adorably cute. I'm very happy for you.

I was sued for divorce and couldn't see my kids for two years. The third year after the divorce, I took them on a camping trip to Yellowstone and my 5 year old daughter asked why I was going with her into the women's rest rooms. My 8 year old son was in the back seat of the car with her. I said that I was a girl now so I had to use the women's rest rooms. My son, a precocious child inquired about exactly how that happened. He wanted details so I told both children briefly the specifics of the procedure. My son then said "Can we not talk about this anymore?" He was clearly upset.

I had instructions from my ex on what I was to wear and some other silly things that didn't make sense but I obeyed her instructions to the letter. I did ask the kids to call me a knick name of my legal name and they never could. Until my son was 22 years old he called me "Uhm." Now that they are grown, I'd rather they'd call me by my legal name but now they use the knick. For many years, I only was able to see them once each year. It nearly killed me.  I did publish my story in 2006 and that drove my daughter away for many years. She made contact with me last year just as I was going through my divorce and was so kind. I know it will take time to get to know each other. It's really too bad I live so far away from them.

My best to you both and I hope I get to see any future videos!

What happens is they don't have enough posts for the link to show up for them. So that is why the big empty space in the post. Looks like someone else re-posted the link so I won't need to. Hugs

I have the same issue with the browser. The vid does not play. It seems to be a plugin issue.
If you have this its possible to klick onto the share button to the right of the vid... the direct link is shown then.
When the link is opened it should work.

nice video.  You too are very sweet together.  It's always great to see a couple that can handle this well.

Very nice video and I loved the ones of you on Leros in the Aegean with your proposal. Both wedding dresses were absolutely gorgeous.

I just watched the video. And Omg, you two are so cute together. And how you figured out to explain things to your son was really smart. Simple and effective.
If I've known you more than an hour, I prolly love you  :icon_redface:
