I need to tell this to someone :( today my brother attacked me. I have scars everywhere and he keeps insulting me. He is 17 and is homophobic, transphobic, rasict and misogynist. The attack happened a few hours ago and he is still not calmed down. Insulting me for slurs of all kinds. I wanted to file a complaint against him at the local police station and my parents forbade me to do this. My parents are homophobic and transphobic themselves. How long will I need to endure this before it stops?

Forgive me for saying this and I'm truly not a bad person but ... my biggest wish is that the cops come to tell us that my brother was involved in a traffic accident and that he died.

I really need a hug :(

Nena, I am very sorry to hear that this happened to you.

I would suggest that you contact a LGBT center or medical clinic near you to both attend to your injuries and to find a safe place for you.  Nobody should have to endure violence and abuse as part of their life.

Please be safe.

Hugs,
Michelle

I'd report it to the police. Your safety and well-being are for more importsnt than what your parents "forbade" you to do.

You shouldnt have to endure that type of treatment.

If your parents allowed your brother to attack and injure you, THEY are abusers as well.
Definitely report it to the police..after you find a safe, alternative place to stay.
Doing nothing only enables them to escalate the violence and it could ultimately be fatal.

Get out of there and report it!

I agree with the others. Your safety is most important.  Get somewhere safe first if you can, then call the police.

Also, please check back when you can so we know you're safe!

Here's a big hug: ((((Nena))))

I agree with the others that the best thing would be to call the police.  If you don't think that is safe in case your parents find out, go to a walk-in clinic to have them look at and treat your injuries.  Tell the doctor what happened, including why you could not report it to the police yourself.

Someone needs to know so that you can find a safe place.

I really do worry about some of the members out there who have been in rough situations.  Unfortunately the above post was Nena's last post on the site, and it has been several weeks since she was last active here.
