I used to be here a long time ago and received a lot of help and I am hoping that I can once again ask upon you.
A month or two ago I went for my blood tests that they need to start me on hormones as long as their is no major issues, I got the results back a month ago and the ALT levels are high to say the least it says
serum ALT level 102 iu/L and range as 0.00 - 55.00iu/L
My cholesterol levels are a little high as well.
Now I've looked online and seems as if it is a fatty liver (I hope) would this be a problem on starting hormones?
At the time of the blood test for a weeks/months before I was eating really badly having pizza and sausage sandwiches everyday and drinking 2 litres of coke everyday and 3 spoons in a cup of tea/coffee.
After the blood test I cut out the pizzas and sandwiches, I've moved onto sweeteners instead of sugar and I no longer drink coke at all and just flavoured water, I don't think this was anything to do with the blood test as I hadnt had the results at the time.
I have to go back in about 2 months for a follow up blood test.
My question is would they use my elevated ALT levels as a reason to not start me on hormones? its just that this will be my 5th meeting with them now and I am eager to progress as I just feel that I have been stuck in the same place forever and they seem to keep putting a wall up against me, each time coming out with something else that stops me, admitiddly something that I could have/should have foreseen.
