Will South Dakota Student Athletes Have to Undergo Genital Exams?

http://www.advocate.com/transgender/2015/08/26/south-dakota-legislator-wants-look-transgender-students-genitals

The Advocate/BY Bil Browning August 26 2015 2:59 PM ET

"Republican South Dakota legislator Roger Hunt wants someone to look at transgender athletes' genitals before they can compete. He has proposed legislation that would require a visual inspection of each athlete's private areas and a check of their "original birth certificate" in response to a change in policy by a high school athletic group that allows students to decide for themselves what gender group they will compete in."

SIOUX FALLS - The South Dakota High School Activities Association is bringing the topic of transgender athletes back to the table Thursday.
The board is looking at several revisions on the current policy.
At a meeting in June board members stressed fairness and legal responsibilities as they hashed out the new rules.

"Trans kids deserve every right that every other student has" Kendra Heathscott declared.

While the SDHSAA prepares to iron out a policy Thursday morning, one transgender woman reflects on how far gender equality has come since she was a child. She never played sports as a student.

Does that mean adopted children whose "original birth certificate" was sealed will not be able to play sports there?
