"Cathy Brennan, an activist who is ofted described as a "trans-exclusionary radical feminist," is suing a journalist and the company that owns the website AfterEllen. The Maryland-based lawyer, blogger, and ardent feminist claims she was defamed by an article saying she harasses, outs and "doxxes" transgender women."

Doxxing means releasing personal information: deadname, home and work addresses, home and work phone numbers,  email addresses of the person and the person's relatives,  can also include id numbers (social security in USA), credit card and bank account numbers, any information they can dredge up.  It refers to documenting.

There is history on the practice of lesbians doxxing trans people for decades. Germaine greer amongst others, was apparently very active in doing it in the 80s

Yes , I totally agree with Wynternight. We need rational peaceful respectful discussion on topics like this because I feel we can't bury these   or our community will not evolve. It's just an article about a lawsuit.

I literlaley thought that, adding on extra information, what what this reffered too.

But instead I find, that it has nothing to do with adding onto and the doc'ing reffers to, a supplying of Documents.

It's neither slanderous or libelous if it's *true*.
Ergo, it's not defamation. At all.
