So I went to see my therapist for the first time today. It all went relatively well and I feel very comfortable working with her. She agrees with me that I'm definitely transgender and while I didn't need anyone else's approval having a professional agree that my understanding of the crazy stuff in my head definitely makes me feel better. The only disapointing thing is since I tore a ligament in my leg I am gonna have to wait to start my hrt because of the calcium aches. However once again having gynecomastia is a blessing in disguise as I'm going with my sister to get my first bra tomorrow. My injury did happen at work so thank god I'm at no risk of loosing my job and then my insurance who is gonna pay for my transition. The only thing thats frustrating is getting workers comp for the next three weeks. I could use some support right now cause my positives are having to be fought for and my negatives are falling like rain.
Hihi its nice to meet you

Congratulations on your gender therapist helping you!  It took a long time for me to find anyone who would help me with my transition.
You seem to be quite lucky, really.  My transition isn't being covered by any insurance, I have to flip the bill myself.  And I have only a casual job so money can be a bit tight.  I essentially have to only go to specialists once every six months in order to afford it.

You're doing really well.  Transitioning is definitely a fight, but you're winning it :-)

Ella:

Great.  I remember my first visit, wow - 15 yrs ago.  You are having white water in your stream now.  It'll calm down.  There's a great Eagles song that comes to mind: "Life In The fast lane"  - He was brutally handsome . . . and she was terminally pretty Let the good times roll.

Ok, Ok, I did try to cheer you up even if pretty pathetic     >:-)

In the mean time chocolate always helps me or a spa trip, shopping, meeting with friends, etc . . .

So glad for you that the 1st appt.was great!

Take good care,

Rachel
