So I'm not sure what it is about me that attracts packer drama, but...

I ordered a Freetom Rogue in dark tan skin for my birthday...

And it's the wrong color.

So I message the company with a comparison picture...on one side is the rogue, and on the other is a buddy stp in dark tan skin that i'd ordered previously. The two clearly do not match. I expect that they'll just apologize and let  me exchange the erroneous rogue.

Bad assumption.

They get back to me saying that the rogue IS dark tan skin, and it's the previously ordered buddy that is incorrect.  They also add that the buddy is in fact "medium" skin and that they'd be willing to send a medium-colored rogue out asap to correct things.

The problem is that I don't think the buddy is "medium."

Mainly because their "dark brown" is pretty much caucasian-colored. So I can't imagine their medium is anywhere near the tone of what i have?

It's a bit of a mess.

Yikes! Sorry you're having bad luck. Would you mind posting pics of the two?

This is the picture I gave them, but it's a bit washed out so things look a bit lighter than they really are.

I'm going to spring for a color wheel of samples, I think. Just to be 100% sure? I'm thinking that's the easiest way to tell since the names aren't always intuitive.

Update:

So I was able to send some pictures of the two prosthetics in full, outdoor light...
And they told me they are in fact BOTH dark tan skin...
Even though they look totally different?

So now I'm going to have to try and reason with them to get my $160 back...especially since there seems to be very little market for darker prosthetics on resale sites and such.

-sighs-

It shouldn't be this difficult.

Also, their sample wheel is now like...$60. WTF.

The rogue looks to be Warm Tan Skin, not dark tan. The buddy does look to be Dark Tan Skin in the second picture, in the first picture it resembles a mocha buddy I used to have, but in every picture the rogue appears to be Warm Tan Skin.

That's exactly what I suggested to them, Marx. But...of course, they insisted that I was incorrect.

They've agreed to waive their exchange policy, and provide me with an alternative Rogue in a shade closer to that of the Buddy I have.  However, before I agree, I want to know what my options are if the new Rogue is still not the color I need.
