Ahhhh Jill, take care of all those things you want to take care of.  A side note:  your straight talk and sometimes made sharply always never seemed to fail rubbing my 'like' manner in the wrong way.  It was only after I settled down that I thought "Jeez Dani calm the ----- down.......she's right, and you know it"  Our strengths ran counter to each other almost every time, I guess it is the old like repels like thing.

Anyways you taught me many things about myself that only you could, gotta luv ya for that.  Now that I'm back (sorta) I look forward to now listening to you 'without' my internal crap.   Dani

I'm glad your taking the time to concentrate on your home front needs. I know that when it comes my time to step aside, no it's not happening soon, that my home front needs will be why I need to. Your home life is far more important and I'm glad you are taking the time to focus on it. I hope things improve soon for your situation. Hugs

Beats me.

It's not like I'm deleting my account.  I mostly just need to attend to "big picture" things before my life gets unbearable again.  We'll just say that a near-perfect sh*tstorm hit in August and instead of being able to rebuild in September, we got earthquakes.

I'm not going into too much detail, but my life is getting kinda hairy right now and it needs some electrolysis pretty badly.  At least getting out from behind the curtain here is going to make my life a bit easier and allow me the time and focus to solve my homefront issues.  My liver will thank me in the end.

Well, some good news (I think?)

I just got a letter from the IRS saying that they aren't going to audit us at this time.   Guess what red flagged us?

*drumroll*

Transition/medical expenses!

We'll see what happens when they review the 2014 return.

Now I get to try to convince a bigot at the LADWP that I'm not trying to defraud them with the whole name change so they don't cut my power and force me to get a whole new account.

Jill,

Your "take no prisoners" attitude here and seemingly in life in general has been a major inspiration to me. It's how I live my life but you taught me it's ok to be trans AND live my life like that.

Thank you for everything but still glad to have you around!

As for ->-bleeped-<-storms, yeah, tell me about it!!! I have septic system repairs coming up, so I quite literally have one on my hands...

Facebook me if you wanna, but message me for the link. (Applies to pretty much anyone here as I don't want my profile out in public, I'll friend you no problems though.)

Holy moly! And here I've been thinking that utilities were a pretty low priority for updating the name...  why would they even care, if we're paying the bills?

There utilities are probably set up like ours are and that means that they are run by the city or County. I have to pay the city for my water and sewer which always means dealing with the city. Power is a public utility district here too. I hope everything goes well for her while dealing with them.

Yes, there's this person named Robin (sorry, unisex name) who thinks I'm probably trying to defraud them by posing as transgender to avoid transferring service and paying the extra fee.

Then they told me there's no such thing as transgender.   *facepalm*

I wonder what their supervisor will think when I come by with my court documents, new and old IDs, show the ridiculous thread of back and forth emails (that prove how much time they've needlessly wasted) and a card from an attorney that will be suing them on my behalf if they don't fall in line.

It looks like a bumpy ride until February, I'm afraid.   Thanks for the warm thoughts.

Game, set, match, indeed!

Damn, Sis, you're living one of the nightmares I imagined could come with the name change. I think I've been very lucky.

I hope the satisfaction of shoving it u rubbing their noses in it makes up somewhat for the aggravation. They owe you an apology.

Rock on Sister Jill  8)  I have often admired your intellect and thought you to be a great Mod, hope you can work out these issues that have been dumped upon you

Still think about trading off some tasty licks and making that "V's other secret" thing actually happen

Much Love and Hugs

Thanks sis,

Now that the IRS is at bay for the time being, I have to deal with several more things in the coming weeks to ensure our lives don't get even more complicated.

Idiots... all around.

Anyway, the plan is to get my chops back into fighting condition soon and get back up on stage next year.  I still need a band...

Hugs,

Thank you Jill for your service. I always look forward to what you have to say because it is to the point and direct. Also, you have a keen eye for BS and handle those matters quickly.

Military? Me?  Umm, no.  It's probably best I didn't attempt to serve with my authority issues.   I'm also picturing Vincent D'Onofrio in Full Metal Jacket.
