Found a thread on this but it was 8 years old. So time for a new one.

Right after SRS I was feeling horny often enough, things were looking quite promising but I'm at 3.5 months now and it all seems to have tapered down. If it wasn't for waiting 40 years for this thing and the constant dilation I'd really just forget it was there.

My endo seen me once after the surgery, basically said we don't need to check your levels, here take this pill once a day for 15 to 25 years and we don't need to see each other again.

So I asked my GP about it today and she told me how she normally goes about it with a cis patient and that she tries to establish a baseline. She's going to reach out to my vague endo and ask some other lgbt doctors. So I have to wait 6 weeks to see her again and see what she found out.

So girls how do you know if your sex drives normal, do you take testosterone post-op?
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

I have a normal sex drive - I want sex, but not all the time. I don't seem to be able to climax. This is a combination of structural factors (I have tenderness in some areas making it difficult to self stimulate) and something different about the arousal/release mechanism that I haven't pinpointed. I went to see a GYN who refused to prescribe T because I've had prostate issues. I have a problem with that refusal - the T levels were talking about would be far less than I had before HRT and no one was telling me I couldn't have it then. My next step will probably be doctor shopping to see if someone is willing to let me try it.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Since SRS (I am 20 months post-op)

I have quite a high sex drive, i enjoy sex and I climax. I am in a committed relationship with a man, who also has a high sex drive. We have sex at least 4 times a week (We don't live together). I love been penetrated by him..

Pre transition, sex never really interested me, i tried it once and did not think that much of it. Now as woman i love it.. I enjoy being the female in sex and play the typical female submissive role.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

Hi noleen, this is the kind of thing that confuses me, I'm in a relationship also, love being intimate and I can already climax but I don't think having sex requires sex drive maybe it helps with climax.

Just right after srs when I still had some T in me. I would feel physically aroused watching tv or reading a magazine. Things would just twitch down there and I'd be like, it would be really good to have sex right about now.

Nowdays it's like, light some candles, put romantic movie on, get lionel richie playing, have a horse neighing in the window, lay on bed of roses grab my 6 vibraters and a glass of champagne and then concentrate really hard and hope I get in the mood.

Well you are not the only one.
There are quite a few menopausal cis people who get extra hormones.
It might be possible to start with a gel first so you can see what dose would help.
You also might ask gyns, they might also have some experience.

nope I dont take testosterone - but I DO take cyclic bio-identical progesterone for PRECISELY that reason - with it I have a decent libido - without it I'm rather low...

well in the first place I dont really seem to get bad mood swings, just a slight change in "energy" and a bit of bloating for a few days which quickly resolves, but in the second - when I tried I found that continuous caused me weight gain around the middle - which was only resolved when I returned to cyclic.

Since that time (several decades ago) I have started at medical school and what I have learned in my 4 years study confirms my impression that continuous is generally not very good for one, so I personally I would not be inclined to try it again.

I never had issues with my sex drive. I started orgasming in my sleep 2 weeks post op, had my first manual orgasm (clitoral) 3 months post op (when I was allowed to), and have since had vaginal orgasms as well (they are, by far, the most intense thing I have ever felt). I want sex every day, basically. I take no testosterone and plenty of estrogen.

well,  sex  drive  post  op,  keep  a few  things  in  mind.
first  every  one  is  different.  really,  from  the  once  a  day  club  to  the  once  a  month  group,   dont  base  what  you  feel  or  dont  feel,   on  how  someone  else  is  .
next.    after  srs,  you have  a  small  window  when  testosterone  levels  plummet.    then  life  begins  sans  the  big  "T" .     yes  your  going  to  think,  feel  and  act  different.  sex  drive  is  going  to  change,    but isnt  that  the  goal,  to  get  rid  of  the  t  life  and  be a  girl?    expecting  everything  to  stay  the  same  isnt  realistic,  and  just  as  in  life,  most  girls,  even  natural  born,  are  different.
finally,  hormones,    adding  'T'  ,  get  medical  advise  on  that.    you  should produce enough  even  without  the  "nads"  hanging  around.    estrogen  im  most  cases  goes  to  low  dose,  and  is  a  maintenance  type  thing  that  also  helps  prevent  osteoporosis/soft  bones/calcium  loss.   again,  proper  testing, medical  advise  from  your  doctor,  all  go  a  lot  further  then  guessing  and  chat  room  Md's  doling  out  directions..

Well I didn't have to srs to get rid of T, have an intersex condition so I'm not really sure what it's meant to be like for guys or girls.

But I did ask three of my cis friends over the last few days, and got 3 different answers.

girl 1 says women don't get horny
girl 2 says only when stimulated
girl 3 says yes a lot when she was single, but now she's married and has regular sex she doesn't get randomly horny

Well it depends on the libido...
as said bioidentical progesterone and a low dose of testo might help...

stress has an influence on libido...
a healthy nutrition...
meds might have an influence...

and a few things can be done to keep things spicy...
a whisper in the ear what is planned later on in the evening...
romantic literature...

I honestly don't know what anyone is talking about. I'm not so horny anymore that I want to scratch and bite myself to think about something else, but my sex drive is still extremely high. Sex is very important to me.

Yeah I'm confused also, I did have to bite myself and think about something else "After" srs and now I don't any more. I still like sex and can have orgasms. I considered that as low sex drive. You consider that as extremely high sex drive. Seems there is no real answer.

So my apologies to everyone for this thread.
