this is a big consern of mine, at a young age, around 12-15 i had really bad Migraines, the type where i was unable to do anything for a complete day. this is more or less a question for you guys who have undergone HRT, and had migraines in childhood.

Well, it started out with a Aura, then went on to really distorted sight, then i could not even say the name of myself, then went on to a headache beyond what i can describe, i had regulary problems with this, each tuesday at around 10am it set in. and went on for the complete day. i had problems at home getting them to understand this was a real thing, but anyways i was sent to school each tuesday, and had to be picked up, due to throwing up, and not beeing able to speak. the school proabbly thought i was on drugs or something, it was the same each tuesday...

here is the question, have you had these problems in your youth and not on HRT?
If answer to that is no, what do you do about it? is there anything that can be done with this issue? no medinsines worked for me that time, so im unsure it will now. this is not going to stop me from undergoing HRT, just currious about potential "cures"
I have heard of someone having good results with some form of botox in the nerve that is causing the migraines, but unsure to take that as a fact.

I have not started on HRT, im just talking to a Therapist at the moment. but will begin in about a year, due to having to talk to a shrink for a year, before she could send me of to a Gender therapist... Yajj Norway.  :-\

And im sorry if i post this under the wrong board.
And thanks in advance for those who are so kind and answer :)

Anyways Love from Dizzie <3

I never got migraines as a kid, I did however get them after being on hrt. once a week sort of thing. The pills I take to get rid of them hurt as much as the migraine. When I went off hrt for surgery I had migraines daily, pretty much non stop. They had to put me on anti seizure medication. which I have to take twice a day.

Coincidence perhaps, there are certain things I've found that trigger them.
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

aww :( sorry to hear that :/ Yeah, i had a few triggers myself. reading small texts in books, going in and out of doors(the sudden change in ligths) but the weird part is, the triggers were only able to trigger it at tuesdays. all other days were "fine" i could get the aura of it, but nothing else.. and i was always happy on tuesdays, we had our Cooking classes on tuesday, but i were never around for them, due to the migraines...

I am just crossing my fingers i dont get it again, but this is quite a consirn for me..

Yep I suffered from migraines growing up, they were at their worst at like 15. They prescribed me midrin, then later on was prescribed butinbal with acetaminophen and both of those meds worked pretty well for me. When I started hrt at 21 I didn't really see much of a change. Before I got on hormones my migraines had finally calmed down. I do still get them occasionally. Last year I had a headache that lasted almost two weeks, it didn't go away no matter what I took.

Growing up with constant migraines and gender dysphoria was literally hell  :'(

hope you're able to find something that helps!
