My original GP when I started transition was a cold fish, very detached and unemotional so I expected little from him, but he was very professional and assisted me in the early stages.
He retired about two years ago and I moved to another doctor at the same practice. She is my age and definitely more approachable, but it threw me when she started asking for details of my then upcoming GRS. She found it fascinating and could not resist asking questions and discussing the details "...so they section the scrotum into three parts? And the glans gets relocated - all of it or part?...". I am so used to people NOT wanting the details that it took my brain a few seconds to get in gear. We had a chat and more than a few laughs.
