hair is the problem

OK, so i've started to bald.
I have it suggested to try a natural remedy of castor oil with rosemary oil to slow and maybe regain some hair.
has anyone else tried this method or have any other advice.
I was looking into seeing a dermatologist or going to a hair clinic has anyone done this and had good results.
