For photo retouch beginners, I usually recommend Paint.NET, a free Windows program that works like a very early version of Photoshop-- thus is much easier to use. It's features are limited, but I find it good for many quick photo adjustments.

Lyric, Yes. I have used Paint.NET for simple edition of photo, which is great.

Today morning we went out to take photos of sunrise, but it was too cloudy.
Anyway my friend took several photos for me.

Yes. Very beautiful. You live in Germany? I have been once in Hamburg.

BTW, I am curious about the name of this flower, and it is very familiar to me.

Thanks! :)

Yeah, I'm currently living in Germany. I lived for quite a few years in Hamburg. Lovely city.

Erm as far as I know it's a Daisy.

Today I saw similar flowers while hiking near my home.

It is a native species here, and its scientific name is Dendranthema coreanum. In the mainland, the similar flowers are Chrysanthemum zawadskii subsp. latilobum (Maxim.) Kitag.
Yes. All of them look like daisy.

The daisy in your photo looks having more petals than the Chrysanthemum here.

Cindy, your photos are amazing!! I used to go to a photography group whilst I was in a mental health ward and I loved every second of it. I really need to start again!! What camera do you use?

Thank you!

I use a Nikon D3200 DSLR body and a variety of lenses. I recently invested in a Sigma 105mm f2.8 DG Macro which I am really enjoying trying to learn to use. I took the Monstera picture with it.

I'm very much a beginner and I also use photography as therapy. In my case I use it for a bit of pain management. I'm a bit bent, stiff and twisted from the side effects of therapy so I need motivation to get out and about and be active and I find photography good for that.

How about posting a few of your pics? Don't worry about standards, if we did I would never post. It is the joy of sharing and getting ideas from each other about topic etc. Most phones have very good cameras and that is plenty to use for this thread. I think Barbie uses her phone and her pics are great!

My photos stink but I'll share my day trip here.  :)

Not going to need the car for this trip.

Because I have a boat waiting!

Goodbye, Boston.

Whoa! Just your average galleon invading P-town.

Last year I said "Someday I'll be like that." This year I said "Girl, I'm gaining on ya!"

Tea Dance at the Boatslip. Kinda tame right now....

...because the party doesn't start until a twirling bear shows up! This guy's a Boatslip staple.

Now it's on!

I leave but my heart stays here.  :'(
