Downstairs Discomfort?

Hey all! This is pretty uncomfortable to be asking about, but I figured there must be at least one person who might have an answer.

So, I started testosterone last night, probably around 14 hours ago, and I am already experiencing some discomfort down below. It's not bad enough for me to even ascribe the word "pain" to it, but it is definitely noticeable, and for me personally I'd rather be able to say, "Yup, that's painful" than, "What even is happening?".

I know that it's totally normal to have discomfort as things grow and change thereabouts, but to have it happen so quickly (and on such a low dose- I'm only on ) is freaking me out.

Is this normal? I was under the impression that pretty much anything at all would take at least a couple of weeks to start changing. Has this happened to anyone else? And does anyone have any advice to deal with it?

Thanks a bunch!

Mod Edit- No dosages please TOS 8.

I started T on that same dose and I noticed the start of growth within a few days. I never got much discomfort from it, probably only for about a month, I think it was month 2 or 3, so I can't speak on that, but I would guess that it's very normal. I experienced mostly what could best be described as a sort of tingly feeling, and that happen from about somewhere in the first week up until maybe month 4, and then it became less noticeable from there on. When people say growth happens quickly, they aren't kidding. Most of the growth happens within the first 6 months you're on T, and it kicks off very early, one of the first things.

I've been on T for about 5.5 months now and just started to experience pain so while I'm not entirely sure if this is normal you're definitely not alone

Ditto here on discomfort.  Someone said us Vaseline to help with abrasion and that has helped

i never experienced that, but i've heard several say that it does happen. it'd have to be because that area is growing; it's one of the first changes you experience. try wearing loose underwear that won't rub against you and like chris said, use vaseline for comfort.

Boxers are your best friend. I had about an inch of growth in a month and it was all really weird. It's normal though to see it in the first week or two of being on T.

IIRC within the first week (on what my clinic considered a "low starting dose", which turned out to be all I need) there was a sensation down there. "What is even happening" is a good way to describe it, ha. As you said, not quite bad enough to be called pain, but definitely got my attention since I'd never felt something like it before. I hadn't expected anything so soon either, but there you have it.

Not sure if anyone can answer this question.  But I'm new to this.  What kind of changes happen downstairs when you start T?

your clitoris will grow into a micro penis, basically. it can become more sensitive or less sensitive; i've seen people say both. when aroused, you can feel it harden (some do, others don't. personally i do) like an erection.

look up 'ftm porn' if you'd like to see it for yourself

1.5 years on T here. The day after my first injection I began to feel an aching pain in my crotch. That lasted for a week. It was like I could literally feel my clitoris growing. It was so uncomfortable that I walked gingerly and needed looser pants. I'd say I am now twice the original size. Hopefully I will continue to grow. But that first week was rough.

This is definitely a thing. I started T five days ago and I absolutely feel something down there (although I don't like looking due to dysphoria).I'm wearing boxer briefs that are on the baggy side.

I'd be a little concerned with vaseline getting into places it shouldn't be, namely the urethra.

personally, I always wondered if I was the only person who never got this problem.... But like palexander said maybe I'm one of those who grew less sensitive. I never had any growth on T downstairs.

So is there anyway to kill the initial discomfort with like, some Ibuprofen? I imagine the pain is very distracting from daily life.

lol... you don't need to take medicine for this. if you're not thinking about it, you don't notice it.
i can't imagine why anyone would take pain killers

I bought this stuff called Lamisol (spelling?) on amazon. I use it every now and then on the downstairs region because it balances out your PH levels and keeps it clean and fresh feeling. It has this cooling, tingling sensation when you use it but it feels nice. I noticed with it that I haven't gotten any weird UTI type sensations since I started. Gotta keep that junk clean because you're gonna have some crazy going on down there ;)

I'm a little over 2 years on T and I don't have A LOT of growth down there, sadly, but my clit definitely grew a little bit. I'm an unlucky fellow where mine doesn't stick out it just hides like a turtle in it's pathetic shell. However I do feel the sensation of getting an erection. It's almost like a tightening, tingle that pulses.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

You are not alone. I started to experience discomfort after 6 hours. The next day it was tingling and the 3rd day I could already see the difference. I was feeling all kinds of emotions. I was happy about it but surprised that it would happen so quickly.

I definitely noticed tingling in the first week, which I expected because of all my prior research, haha. That being said, I didn't exactly know exactly what to anticipate. I would describe it as pressure, kind of like when you got "growing pains" in your legs when you were younger. I'm now about 5 months on T, and I still get that pressure every couple of weeks, which is great because I assume that means more growth is happening. Haven't been measuring, but I'm easily twice or three times the size I was pre-t (still not huge by any means).

I'm actually getting really excited hearing about everyone having almost immediate changes down there! I didn't realize T would affect that region so quickly. That makes me super excited about starting T!

Is there anyone here who pumps? Was the pain tolerable enough to continue pumping, or did you have to stop for a while?

I tried pumping but I couldn't do it as much as people recommended. It wasn't painful to me I just couldn't get in the mood for it. Plus, mine doesn't seem to want to work properly now..I think I broke it. If you do decide to pump I recommend getting yourself a masturbation sleeve for trans guys. Good times ;)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
