'WASHINGTON -- Police said Friday they were investigating a series of hate crimes targeting gay and transgender people.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the latest attack, which happened in Chinatown near the Verizon Center, and investigators added they were looking for more possible suspects'
