I honestly don't mind the RAMA, i think it comes down to it being a personal choice, to each of it's own. For me, the Rama provided that nice and quiet peaceful environment which i love. I dont like the busy road esp during a recovery. Plus Rama was affordable, so that's always a plus. but if someone have the money and want more of a luxury stay then yes the Dustin Princess and Verticle Suite is definately for you.

Well one concern is if you are alone.
At the Rama you might make friends and ask other people to look after you, possibly in the first days.

People said in the Dusit personnel speaks better english, and there is a wider variety of liquid foods so its easier to have food there.
And as soon as the staff sees someone with a donut cushion they are seated and the staff caters for them.
For company it might be possible to ask with Chett for the room number of other patients at the same hotel.

So I thought I would finally reply to this thread.

First off... stay away from the Rama hotel... umm.. yeah.  The Vertical Suite rooms were actually proper one room flats and very modern and clean -- I highly recommend and being right across the road from 3 malls is super convenient.


Anyways, the main reason I am replying is to say a big thank you to Sorcha for being there to help me get sorted and to introduce me to a few others who were there at Chett's during my stay.  Tons of hugs from me girl and no... it really was the poor internet and conditions at the Rama that made me leave... you were a big help so I want to say thank you!

Roxi it was my pleasure to meet you and be some kind of assistance Being far from home isn't any fun when you are laid up so we have to stick together and help each other.  You also happen to be a lovely person which makes helping allot easier.

The hotel choice is something I've spoke about before and having been in rooms in all 3 Chett hotels I agree with Roxi, The Vertical Suites are the best rooms with the best facilities but budget, being able to make friends and also relaxation are important factors to consider. It is personal choice and I could make a good case for all 3 hotels so I wouldn't be too concerned about staying in any. The Rama really does need to improve the internet though. It was shocking on my last stay.

As I am writing in this thread I will update my recovery. There was a setback for about a week when I began to see blood spots in my pad. I think the cause was stress from sitting causing the scars to slightly leak but I seem to have cured it using Sudocrem and a reduced dilation schedule. The lump has finally gone away Overall appearance is looking allot better but I hope it still has improvement left to go.

The tooth issue that arose and caused me problems solved itself last night when the tooth in question fell out. I now need a new tooth and because of what the dentist told me I know this is a pretty big job that will require more visits to Bangkok but at least now I can finally cure the infection

Yes I have to agreed. Being alone Rama is deff the best choice. As I was alone myself and met so many wonderful girls on trans alley. To me, this is just a temporary stay so I don't mind at all. As long as its safe, decent, & I have a roof over my head I'm good. I don't need big fancy expensive hotel. Internet is choppy but for what i paid I don't mind it at all. I got the same treatment at Rama about people being nice. As soon as they see me with a donut, they rush to come help me and open doors and whatever els they can. I am very pleasured with my stay. Like I said its all down to personal choices.

Looks good for the most part, but labia majora seems really loose/flappy/sticks places which seems like a recurring problem, so really curious how yours turned out seems sort of close if I read right.

Im close friend with Socha. And honestly I personally don't recommend a revision unless you absolutely have too. To me Chett didn't really do a good job on his revision surgery. I am three months post op with him and I'm lucky pretty happy with my result. I also know another girl who had surgery about the same time that have the loose labia skin I say if its not too bad leave it cause u may end up worst.

I've not been on here for a month so I have only just read this. I hope you are doing ok now you're home? I had a revision of the same area and like you I knew I needed it before leaving. You'll get told to wait at least 6 months to allow for healing but as Butterfly said you have to weigh up the pros and cons before agreeing to a revision.

Overall I think mine will look better once the new scars have healed but it wasn't the most pleasant experience I've ever had. While I've had my month away from here I found that I had an infection behind my clitoris which I only found when green stuff started coming out the top. My clitoris has always been swollen since my SRS but once I cured the infection it now isn't. I also have allot more sensation I am now wondering if the infection was present unseen during the revision and is the reason the local anesthetic didn't work.

Yes Butterfly it does need careful consideration. It all depends on if the loose skin is causing problems during dilation like it was for me, Also those girls who are super stealth and don't want any signs surgery need to consider the extra scarring they'll have.

doing a butt surgery is very risky. i want mine done but im afraid it may not be so pretty afterward lol

I had fat transfer done with Dr. Zukowski and he did a wonderful job.. the Kardashians have nothing on me when it comes to a nice butt... He also added fat to hips.. he over does it a little because you can lose as much as 30 percent.
I look totally CIS and there is no risk..
I would not do butt implants.
His price is also very good.
Just saying..
I love him and he does free revisions if anything should not be just right.
He did my ffs too.

I'd make a guess that that its very rare to need medical attention when you get back home after SRS with Chett or Suporn. That's why you stay in Thailand so long. These longer terms revisions are usually not urgent.

I'd also guess that the big name SRS surgeons won't want to see you, or least you'll have to wait for ages to get though their queues.

Plan B might be better as staying there a little bit longer.

I'd agree with that.

I've never heard of anybody from any of the top named SRS surgeons needing urgent medical treatment after the surgeon has released them as fit to travel home. Chett and the other Thai surgeons will give you a very close inspection a few days before your travel home date and issue your a letter to say you're fit to fly. If there was anything wrong at that point they firstly wouldn't issue that letter and secondly would fix the problem.

Chett has his nurses visit every day but Sunday and they make notes that Chett reads each morning before they head out and he asks them to check anything he is unsure of and take photo's if needed. If Sri thought you needed to see him urgently she would make sure it happened. I am sure the other surgeons do something similar but as I never had surgery with them I won't swear to it.

If you are at all worried that you will need longer there obtain a Thai visa before leaving home which allows you 60 or 90 days in Bangkok and a flexible flight so you can easily change the return date if needed but I am sure you will go home about 25 days post op without any problems

Yes, 'Bambi's Guide' is still a good read.  I would expect she welcomes new information from current Thai visitors.

My understanding is that the Royal Thai government no longer issues a 90-days visa or 'MT' medical visa.

You can obtain the 60 days visa - it is a 30-days extension to your automatic 30-days entrance visa - at the federal Chaengwatthana Government Complex at Road 304.  The Immigration Office (Building 'B' - 1st Floor) holds both a morning and an afternoon session with same-day service.  All agents speak English.

If you need currency exchange, there are several banks providing competitive rates located at the lower level; currency exchange is open until 3.30 pm weekdays.  You can make your photocopy of your passport page at the basement copy center (something such as 5 THB per page).

Taxi cab service goes direct to Building 'B'; you can obtain your taxi going home to your recovery hotel at the same queu.  A quick note:  the passenger is expected to pay the road toll if the taxi drives the toll-road expressway; that can be perhaps 75 THB each direction (a little more than $2).  Morning session might be cheaper if you can evade morning traffic jams and return home early afternoon.  Friday afternoon can be worst for the long line for a taxi and then a long ride home going nowhere in traffic.

It may be different for different countries I'm not sure. I applied in Sydney for a Tourist Visa and was given 60 days stay on a single entry and I had to enter Thailand within 3 months of the date of issue. You take or send your passport to a Royal Thai Consulate or Embassy and they return it 2 business days later. The option to obtain in Bangkok is very handy I must agree but unless you are certain you will need extra pre op the likelihood is you could be too unfit to travel across the city in a taxi for an hour or more each way and sit in the office awaiting the issue. After all if you are fit for that and able to do it you'd probably be just as well leaving a day or 2 late and pay the 500THB per day overstay fee which doesn't count against you with Thai Immigration if you got back in the future 

It is good info though for those who want to extend a holiday or feel they would like to explore the country after the surgeon says your good to go home
