I was recently at a departure gate for a flight where one of the ?ground staff? was, without wishing to be rude about it, clearly MtF transsexual.

As I was queueing to board the plane, said employee started hassling me, claiming my carry-on luggage was oversized despite it being smaller than many I saw being brought on board. I had also previously been assured by another member of staff that it was a "big plane" ie my luggage size was fine.

I then presented my boarding pass to one of her coworkers who checked against my passport (still shows me as male) who then misgendered me. Realising her mistake she apologised but within earshot of the transsexual employee who then proceeded to laugh mockingly at me.

Seriously wth?
Exceptions to the norm do not constitute a spectrum.

Another transgender person caused all this? why would one trans person do that another trans person. It sounds like she has serious issues.

Not being there, I can't say for sure but it's possible the TS had a bet or was kidding the employe who made the mistake about exactly that situation. The laughter might have been directed and the employe. The problem with inside joke is they can be misinterpreted by an outsider and you were hurt in the process.
