Cindy

I know one close friend had negative experience and a close friend has had good.

Does anyone have experience with Andrew or with Simon (Simon has retired BTW).

He keeps being suggested to me.

I will have a consult but any background experiences pre, op and post op would be great

I had a Breast Augmentation with Andy Ives about 5 month ago and I couldn't be happier.
I am planning to have my SRS with him to seeing as he did such a good job of my boobs.

I have had a few medical professionals now say how amazing the scars or lack there of are and also mention how much they would recommend his work.

I guess it also comes down to how you connect with a surgeon as well. For me we got along great.
He is really professional and does great work.

Hi Cindy. I know we have spoken about this but thought I would let others here know what I experienced.

I found Andrew to be very pleasant to deal with and am extremely happy with the result.  Little or no bruising and low pain levels, also cosmetically quite satisfactory.   I also was impressed with the staff at Masada, and found them to be very supportive and understanding.  I really cannot recommend them highly enough.  My partner has the same opinion and feels that Simon Ceber was also wonderful.

I considered Thailand but after doing the sums decided that there was not a lot of difference once Medicare and Medibank were taken into account.  Being only an hour's flight away instead of eight if anything went wrong was a consideration as well as reports from friends about their own experiences.

Karen.

Hi Karen,

Please, I would be interested in the sums of how, where and when.
What was the total cost out of hand? How much did medicare help and how long did it take for the rebate?

Any correspondence would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jenny

The total for Andy is about $10k depending on insurance, medicare rebate etc (for Australians in the system).

Oh and as someone said (sorry, forgot who!) does awesome BA as well, I met a few girls and drooled :embarrassed:

I am from outside Australia and I was told by him that it would be 45000 AUD's possibly more. Also, the reception was really rude and spoke down to me when i just wanted a couple of questions answered on wait time and techniques. When i complained Andrew told me 'he was sorry i felt offended' and that they wouldn't treat me. I mean, if you're not going to actually apologise it seems a bit trite to pretend. I would stay away from him. Seems he want's $45000 along with a side order of worship. Yuck. Glad I found out that before I actually went there.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Andy is a personal friend. I know Ash at reception can be blunt, but once you are in she is lovely.

I think one issue is that Andy doesn't 'need' the work, he is fully booked at >12 months so he may have been 'dismissive' to save you the wait and the pre-surgical checks (he has at least two pre surgery checks)..

I'm having dinner with him in a few weeks, send me a pm and I'll bring it up with him and his team.

Hi Cindy I had srs with Andy 4 months ago. He is very charming and you always feel better after talking to him. I rang him in the middle of a lecture and he still worked me through my problem at the time and and seen me to make sure everything was ok.  I think Ash at reception is really nice and very helpful.

He went and spent time with Marci Bowers learning off her, and also went to Charring Cross in UK for awhile (with Dr Thomas I think) as well as working under Simon.

I'm still not 100% behind the dilaters he uses, but he said he had been thinking about getting the soul ones Marci Bowers uses. (so as a heads up maybe order some from overseas if that bothers you)

I wrote fairly extensively about the experience which is now being included with the information package patients get. Only issue was I might need a labia plasty correction which he is monitering to see how it settles after healing, hopefully not needed, seem to be good.

Ironically I don't know a lot about vaginas but my GP said it's amazing. Was able to orgasm from about 2 months. I had a skin graft also.

Feel free to ask me anything or pm me for the link to the stuff I wrote for the new patients.
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.
