I don't have a TV so I don't see shows, but I had to stay in a motel room last night  and saw 'I am Cait'. The main problem in watching TV or just this particular show is that the ratio of program to commercials seems to be about 80-20 in favor of commercials . I definitely struggled to watch just by the sheer fact of the amount of commercials. The program itself was interesting. she seems to be steering more towards the discussion of LGBT. This is the only show I've seem so I can't compare. the thing that captivated me was her looks , she looks great. I have a hard time to relate to her because of her lifestyle, but more power to her. I think it would be
good for all of us if she stays on course to promote the trans issue. I hope her show gets renewed.

I wonder which episode it was, I really need to catch up on them.
I will touch a 100 flowers and not pick one.

she went to New York to the Pride celebration and there was a kind of funny and sad moment when she tried to reconnect with one of her buddies that hadn't seen her yet. Sad because you could see the guy's internal struggle.

I've not see that one, sounds interesting (except the sad part) guess she has to learn though

Male friends always seem to have a harder time dealing with MTF transitions. It seems to cause them a lot of sexual confusion which makes them feel uncomfortable... I'm actually going to see an old male friend today who I haven't seen since pretransition, so I hope it goes well. ^^;

I have trouble watching shows like "I am Cait" though, because I often find them to be triggering. But I do think it's really great how transgender people have become so much more visible in the media over the past few years. When I first started transitioning that wasn't the case at all, and when it started to happen at first I thought it might just be me noticing it more because I was paying more attention. But then the Caitlyn Jenner thing happened, and transgender stuff started to pop up everywhere. I guess I must've picked exactly the right moment to transition or something. ;)

True, it took some of my male friends about three weeks before they started talking to me. And I still have a handful that refuse to talk to me at all.

Aa for I am Cait? Well, I find the show pretty boring honestly. The biggest thing that bothers me is she doesn't even attempt to change her voice at all. Now I'm not one to talk as I'm in the beginning stages but at least try Cait!

Actually Caitlyn tried to change her voice in a scene with Kim Kardashian in one episode, but totally failed at it.  In a later discussion with either Candace Cayne or Jenny Boylan, or both, one or the other said they never really tried to change their voices much, and that your voice is who you are, and that seemed to be the end of it.

Caitlyn did mention something about vocal cord surgery, but seemed to be afraid of the risk involved.

IIRC, on the episode that shows her doing voice training, she said that she is going to have VFS, and then start voice training. The show stopped filming months ago, and I haven't seen or heard her speak recently, so who knows, she might surprise us the next time we hear her speak.
