Tracheal shave and lip fat transfer healing/downtime?

I am gearing up to schedule my surgery date for a tracheal shave next month. Are there any side effects I should expect, like a bunch of swelling or voice hoarseness or even bruising? I'm concerned I won't be able to talk right afterwards or even whisper. When I had my forehead and nose done, I was a complete mess for about a week and took time off of work for 2 weeks. I plan to take at least a week off this time around but I might hide my neck with jackets and scarves if I need to. The incision will be done under the chin instead of along the Adams apple.

I'm also going to have my upper lip rolled with fat transfer to both lips at the same time by the same surgeon who performed my previous FFS. Any complications with that? Any words of experience would be great.

I had bruising after my trach shave, but it wasn't major; my voice wasn't affected, and I could eat without restriction.  I just had fat transfer to my upper lip, smile lines, and lower cheeks; I have a lot of swelling, but I also had my jaw (which included masseter muscle reduction) and chin done along with a neck lift so the majority of the swelling is secondary to those procedures; especially my lower lip swelling, which is just starting to subside.  As a comparison, I had Juvederm injected into my upper lip several years ago, and I had a lot of swelling for about 2 weeks.

Thanks, Kittenpower! I see my surgeon next week for a consultation so I'm looking for all the information I get get from someone who's had these procedures done.

I had a tracheal shave same time as my srs, I had voice hoarseness for a time, it felt like a sore throat, I had to rest my voice, my boyfriend at the time said ''resting my voice was no harm'' lol the incision left a tiny scar which was barely noticeable, I used to cover it up with a little makeup and powder, I'm glad I had it done as my adams apple was very prominent and I love wearing neck jewelry necklaces and chains etc.

They told me to not use my voice as much for a few days but other than that, it was fine. There was a bandage there for a bit and then you know a scar for a while but nowadays it's all gone.
