went to the local renaissance group here in Philly.
all i can say is why did i wait so long...

It was a really great experience and a really great group of gals to talk with.
this was my first time out in public dressed too.
after the meeting, they go to a local bar, which was a great time. i now understand why many of the gals just go straight to the bar to have fun.

of course i got many questions in my head (about me) after the meeting , but i guess that is a good thing to think things over.

Congrats, Natalie! I'm envious... I TRIED soooo many times to go to that same group (I live there too) many years ago, but always chickened out. I even got as far as the parking lot twice at a group over above Trenton, but... I couldn't make my hand open the car door, lol. It was SO embarassing.

I often wonder what would have happened had I managed to overcome my fears back then... all that time I lost. Ah well, all it's all good now ;)

So it's GREAT you found the courage to explore your feelings! Bravo!

Congratulations! Natalie, I wish I had your courage. I still keep things pretty private, I still have a way to go before I'll go out. I do try and drop little hints and some visual hints about my true self, but that's as far as I'll go for now. ::)

it is hard to say how i motivated myself. but honestly it took a few (many!) times to work up the courage.
i was still pondering if i should go a hour before leaving.
but i did and i have no regrets.
for me it is good to push myself, otherwise i get stuck in the same old same old and never figure anything out.

thanks for the kind words

Natalie

Karla,
The support groups I have bisited are happy to welcome you in 'Male Maode' if you need to for your first visit.  The 2 I have visited also have a changing room available if you can't dress before or just are not sure about being out 'en-femme'.
Give their contact e-mail a short message and see what response you get.  I'm certain someopne will be happy to e-mail back!
  Hugs,
  Lisa Elizabeth

Hey Natalie,

Congratulations!!!! I'm always soooo happy to hear about other girls' first time out experiences. I remember the first time that I went out "enfemme" way back in what I call my drag days of 2000! I was soooo nervous, but the experience was one that I'll never forget. I cherished every moment and continued to do so for the following 6 years that I was club going. Of course, who would've thought that I'd ever come out as TS? Life is full of surprises.

Enjoy every minute of it!!! Ur great adventure is just beginning!!
