Will tucking be harmful?

I'm trying to tuck before I actually start cross dressing, no real pain so far, but I'm worried that by trying to push the testicles up into the inguinal cavity, I'm putting myself at risk for problems later on. I am not 100% confident that I'm doing it correctly either, but I'm in the neighborhood somehow. What I can feel is a soft ring of skin. How far up must they go anyway?

I want to be able to create a nice tuck. I guess I might be a bit ahead of the game because I already think I have an idea of where I'm supposed to be tucking.

If it doesn't hurt then it is most likely safe. I don't have much to tuck so can't answer questions about getting the testes up into the canal.

It depends, and it can be uncomfortable. For me, it was very uncomfortable starting out and there was some pain. But after about a year on HRT, I stopped having any issues. But I don't use tape, I hated using tape.

I am asking about any possible risk of danger rather than immediate discomfort here. Things like hernia, all that.

That's a very interesting question, but in many years of reading and forum following I've never heard of anyone receiving a hernia from tucking. A physician could doubtless tell you if there's a risk, but I rather doubt it. With the usual tucking method, you push the testicles into the hollow at the front of the abdomen. I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem to me to affect the intestines there. By all means, discuss it with a doctor, though, if it worries you.

Many of us who've long been wearing women's wear with male lap parts have found the tucking issue not that big a deal, though. For one thing, you only need to fully tuck when wearing the tightest lower body clothing. While they look cool, you don't have to wear skinny jeans or leggings every day. With many skirts, short and even jeans most of us can get by without fully tucking. I find tight panties, control panties and such hold things pretty well with many things without raising the testicles inside. Show carefully and give your goodies a break now and then.

I think m2f transgender people tend to be preoccupied with tucking. While wearing bikini in the beach, I have never seen anybody pay attention to that area.

I avoid very tight pants or skirts, because I have some skin problem (irritant contact dermatitis). I usually wear flare or pleated skirts, even during running outdoors. I occasionally wear baggy pants, which is a trend now among young girls here.

If tucking is indeed your concern, then there are many ways to circumvent it.

Well i use a different trick when tucking. I do tuck the testes up and yes it is safe. But when i tuck i use 2 strands of sports tape cause sweat does not affect it. You make each strand long enough to go from left to right and right to left starting about the base of your member and about an inch to the left and right. Make sure its long enough to reach across your member after you have tucked that it tapes down on or near the start of the inner buttock. Now before you tape down your member with tape use about 1 inch or 1 1/2 inch piece of sports tape and stick the 2 sticky sides together where tape would contact your member and possibly the scrotum. In the end you have an X across your member down the middle that leaves room for the head so you can pee like a  woman. But you dont have pain of tape stuck to scrotum or your member! I do this when i wear leggings and have had women ask if i had surgery to change over, then i tell them i tuck. Thats my secret to tucking.
