I identify as MTA and I'm on  low dose HRT.  spironolactone and  estrogen patch(estradot).

My gender expression through makeup and clothing, together with the HRT is making me feel great. I am were I need to be.

I am pushing away from male but I dont want to become a woman.. Yes I'm happy as things are now, but how will it be in the long run? There is certain things to be taken under concideration:

* I am OK with being sterile, I have banked my sperm and I don't want bio kids anyways.

* I dont want to become impotent. Whats the chance of that happening on low dose?

*I play soccer and this is a priority. I need to be able to play high level soccer with the males. This is  important. How will it effect my form in about 2-3 years? Will it help to stay trained and in shape regularly, will that somehow minimize muscle loss?

* I am OK with breast growth as long as they are hideable through binder etc. The breast growth has already started for me and I plan on getting both a breast holder and a Binder, depending on my mood. Will i get smaller tits on low dose vs high dose?

*I don't want fat redestribusjon to change my body to such a degree I can't pass as male, Or that it looks obviously female.. It shouldent effect my

* the rest of the hormonal changes I probably concider amazing.

Is low dose HRT basically the same as full dose, exept changes will happen more slowly? Its not like i will get 50% the changes on low dose of what i would otherwise get on full dose HRT?

Maybe after a year, i could stop hrt for muscle to regain etc and then restart HRT? :P

If anyone know some of the answers and care to reply, I would be really grateful :)

Hormones are very unpredictable. My body had few changes and appears very boyish after years of hormones. Other girls bloom under the effects of hormones. Loss of muscle mass is one of the desirable feature of HRT along with loss of strength. High end athletics are always looking for just a little edge and you may lose more that that on HRT. While the changes are not as dramatic with a MTF as a FTM, you should be willing to live with all the changes hormones will cause.

I don't think you every received a copy of the rules so I am providing a copy now.

Things that you should read

Emily,  I am not on hormones so you can dismiss anything I write with the classic phrase, "She doesn't know what she is talking about," and be perfectly correct without a hint of criticism.  However, after reading your message, it seems obvious to me that these questions should really be addressed to your prescribing physician.  I would urge you to make an appointment a.s.a.p.  Be safe.

Although Katy nailed it, I just want to throw out there that you sound very much like me. Strength is a pretty useful thing in my job where there can be heavy lifting involved.

If I go down the low-dose HRT route, I'm going through all the proper channels and with supervision through every step.

You play soccer so after the match you shower with the boys , right ? So if you develop breasts they will see those while showering and they will start asking questions about it, right ? Have you ever considered that possibility ?

For the loss of potency I believe some transgirls supplement with small shots of testosterone . I read about it once on Rene Richards ( a non-op woman ) her website but I'm not sure how that exactly works as I want to lose my potency and find it a disturb of my womanhood but I understand your vision as you don't identify as a female . Maybe Viagra or something like that could help you ?
Mexicans drink Tequila to keep their libido high , not sure if it would work though . Your muscle mass will probably remain the same if you keep training weekly . However , training on such a high level will also cause higher testo levels which means that most of the effects spiro and estro cause will get lost anyway . Aren't herbal supplements a better option in your case ? Have you tried if intense cross dressing couldn't reduce your gender dysphoria ? You could buy silicone breasts , most look very real nowadays , and you could remove them while going to training ?

A lot of people who don't want several effects estrogen causes to their body have to undergo surgery to reverse them , so be careful about what you want .

A higher dose of estrogen doesn't mean faster transition . It all depends about how your body reacts to the estrogen . So if your is very sensitive it could cause too intensive changes which won't fit your inner feelings . I would be very cautious in this case and go explore myself a bit before undertaking anything medical you might get regrets about .

Ps : don't forget the psychological effects hormones have ! They could make you very moody which you can certainly miss as a soccer player !
Hi everyone ! I am Vincence , 19 years old , living in Belgium and I am transgender since as long as I can remember . As a kid I already was a girl but didn't really get picked on for my femininity . Growing up that changed . I know that I am transsexual since the age of 15 , came out to my parents and brother this summer , got denied for it . Now I am going to have SRS in 2 yrs.
