Amusing ways to come out

I kinda wanted to make a light-hearted post about this... looking back on it, did you come out to anyone in a way that you now find funny?

E.g. I wrote a letter to my parents. The funny part to me now is I went into the room they were sitting in, threw the letter at my mum and ran away! Then peeked round the door 15 mins later haha. Terrifying at the time, funny now.

I personally didn't come out in a funny way. But a while back, I read on Facebook that a guy came out to his mom in the form of a cake. He actually wrote his coming-out speech on the cake in icing - and in the form of a poem! That was both cute and funny. Plus the mom gets to eat the cake

Along similar lines to the cake... I had to dig into my purse to find my car keys.  My purse was in my backpack.  I said "hold on, I have to grab some stuff out of my purse" and my mom said "you call that your PURSE?" referring to my backpack.  "No mom, this is my purse.  Oh, there's some chocolate in it.  Want some?"  So now I've taught my mom to associate me carrying a purse with me having chocolate for her. 

Also, I'm too blunt.  I just drop  "so, I'm transgender" into a conversation in order to come out.  I need to work on this, apparently, as I'm a huge smartass.  Two people have been bewildered because they didn't know if they should be supportive or offended on behalf of the transgender people I'm apparently making fun of.  Oops.

I came out too my mom dressed and my mom wondered who that strange woman was,we had a good laugh.

well I came out to a bunch of people at different times at first it was a dire, serious situation, eventually it became a challenge to come up with new and novel ways of outing myself. like telling someone about the time I came out to someone else, pretending they already know about it and just telling them about someone else.

or that one girl who I told "jess I have known you for a very long time, I have known you sense before you needed a bra, and you knew me before I needed one"

sadly at this point I don't get to play around with the big reveal anymore, something about the skirt and breasts seems to give things away.

PS. I did get a really funny look for a guy who used to work in the same store as me a few years ago, when he stopped to visit his friend who still works there a few days ago.

Please arrange my documents to my new name of Cindy. I have changed my name to match my gender as I am undergoing a sex change. I realise you may not have had a letter like this before.

You are correct, I have never had a letter like this before. May I remove your name from it and frame it on my wall?
I have changed your name on your documents and may I be one of the first to congratulate you on your change and I wish you all the best for your future.

That was so sweet, Cindy!

I have no funny coming out stories, well maybe one.

My therapist asked me to bring my wife in so she could then help me plan my coming out to my wife.

Suddenly, in the middle of the session, I just told her. I managed to shock Sweetie and my therapist at the same time!

So I was a keen cyclist... and back in the day the current vogue for women riding male frames was not so evident... it was considered a bit odd. My problem was that I had an expensive custom built road racer which I wanted reconfigured, but I didnt want to re buy all the servicable parts hence my visit to the cycle workshop with a pre-purchased custom built step through frame and a conversation with a slightly bemused bike mechanic which went something like this :-

"I'm about to see a surgeon to have a sex change - while I'm in hospital my bike needs one too... can you oblige?"

The result was that my antique Claud Butler Dalesman (dating from the days when Claud Butler actually did hand make them) emerged a few days later as a Lady-Dale.
