Embracing God's Transgender People

The Huffington Post/By Susan M. Shaw   10/20/2015

"Another transgender woman is dead. Keisha Jenkins became the 21st transgender or gender non-conforming person murdered in the United States this year, the 18th transwoman of color.

Transphobia is a problem, a matter of life and death for some people. The pope says transgender people, like nuclear weapons and genetic manipulation, do not recognize the order of creation. The Southern Baptist Convention is opposed to any efforts to validate transgender identity. Mormons who undergo sex-reassignment surgery cannot receive the priesthood or a temple recommend. Missouri Synod Lutherans think such surgery is a mutilation of the body and transgender identity is a disorder."

Both me and my wife are Christian. She's a cis-woman. I am trans (in progress). I personally think that being trans isn't a sin as long as you don't deceive people into thinking you are someone you are not.

When prompted, I would very proudly say I am a transgender woman, and never a cis-woman. I think that the sin lies when it comes to changing your apearance to trick people. But if you change it to be more in tune with how you feel inside and you are causing no harm to anybody, I don't see where's the problem :)

Some people just love to decide for God and say who does God love and who doesn't.

When I came out to my wife, she didn't stop loving me. I don't see why would God. But then again, that's God's decision and nobody else's. (yes churches, I am talking to you  :police:)
