So i am getting my haircut tomorrow, i have very short hair right now and i want some advice on asking for a feminine hairstyle that will fit my face.

The thing is i am super shy and no matter how much i tell myself i will, i wont be able to ask specifically for a "feminine" cut.

I am looking to grow my hair out (shoulder length, maybe longer) and i want something to get me through the awkward stages of growth.

I am seeking advice on how to ask the stylist to cut my hair without specifically asking for a feminine cut. I know it's silly but since i am more in "stealth" mode transitioning and will be in male mode when i go.

I don't want to say "i want to grow it out" and then get a male haircut i just want to tell her some specific things after i tell her that i want to grow it out that will make it more of a feminine style and frame my face.

Here are some pictures of me fresh out of the shower (my eyes look cross eyed in the first photo) and my hair combed straight down.

My personal opinion:
skip the hairdresser
look for some clip in hair extensions, preferably real hair
have fun
some people even carefully try a ponytail in guy mode

And you could have a look here for growth:

Thanks, but i don't think I'm quite ready for hair extensions.

At this stage you could just tell your stylist that you are growing your hair out, and ask him or her to just trim the ends (it's all that can be done, and then get a trim the very 6-8 weeks to keep the ends neat and healthy looking. After about 6 months it will be longer to do something with). You could also ask for highlights, which could add a little feminine touch to your look. Tell your stylist that your beginning your transition now if you like, but if you don't feel comfortable hold off for awhile, and come out later after you get to know them.

I called and made an appointment with my place and specifically asked for someone who was trans friendly and had experience with curly hair. They hooked me up with someone who's fantastic! I went in that day in girl mode and had a great time. I was nervous as hell and I wasn't fooling anyone, but it was a step in the right direction. I like going back there now because I am getting more and more feminine with each passing week and I enjoy sharing that time with my stylist. :)
