"Before coming to Penn State, Nate Pentz had never met a transgender person.

Now, he is the head of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Student Coalition, which helps advise the university on how to be a more inclusive and safe environment for all LGBTQA individuals.

Pentz (junior-sociology) refers to himself as a transgender ally who wants to help make Penn State a better place for all students on the LGBTQA spectrum. He, along with the Director of the LGBTQA Student Resource Center, Allison Subasic, are two of the many cisgender individuals, those who identify with the gender they were assigned at birth, who work with transgender students to help make Penn State an inclusive, comfortable environment for them."
