I was just wondering if it's my particular sense of smell that's the problem or is it something else. I usually don't wear perfumes , but I think about it . I will wear perfume and I haven't explored enough the different fragrances . I like the Jennifer Aniston ones quite a lot. The question has more to do is whether it's just my particular sense of smell that's the problem or are there definitely some nasty smelling perfumes out there and why in the world do woman wear them. I'm an older woman so it's not some weird form of discrimination , but I know that some older woman wear these perfumes that to me are just blatantly annoying like there trying to get people to stay away. Is anyone else bothered by some perfumes or is it just something wrong with my nose. I know now especially since starting HRT there are men's colognes that are mercilessly annoying although I've never been a fan of colognes.

This is perfectly normal. Everyone likes different things, they probably quite like their own perfume!

I've certainly experienced this too. Some people have walked by with the most obnoxious fragrance but there's an equal amount of nice smells too.

Also to add on to it, most fragrances on men's products really bother me, especially most deodorants. I don't know why that is but they seem overpowering to me.

Your nose is fine. I still use brands that I liked 30 years ago. They are hard to find and not always in a perfume but in a body spray. The scent is the same and that is all I care about. I like something that is hardly there but sort of sweet. The new scents hurt!

There are some nasty ones :-\ at least to me ..... my wife loves Red Door, I think it smells like a bitchy grandma

I love more flowery, fruity flavors with a touch of musk to them

I cant live without smellies, Ive been doing that the longest and it was a way for me to feel girly

I love them all, body wash, soaps, cremes, lotions, sprays... everything

I have a entire drawer packed full of the stuff, its out of hand and needs sorted through though ???

We have a post in our ladies loo at work. Please don't wear these perfumes <list> as we find them offensive or cause allergy attacks.

White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor.  This is straight up STANK!  It makes my eyes water uncontrollably and I go into a sneezing fit too.  I don't even know if they make it anymore though; it was like 25 years ago when I discovered this.

"Crush" from American Eagle. Every single person i've ever met LOVES it. It is my favorite smell of all time.
Well... my second favorite smell after pot roast in a slow cooker.

Since I found it, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin is one of the only real few scents I do enjoy, as a body lotion or body spray. More of the other pumpkin ones never really match to it as well. I haven't much checked out much on the perfume side of things just yet. I just know my sinuses really flare up a lot since more often then not the strangers  that I come across seem to drench themselves with their perfume and/or cologne.

When I smelled Eternity growing up, I loved it so much it drove me insane! Now I wear it nearly everyday. I don't spray too much but I don't mind women that overdo it.

When he was ready he showed it to his friends and they said he had created a great statue.
