My guess is that one's ability to accept themselves is highly dependent on how independently their ego operates.  If one finds self validation internally then I don't think it's hard to accept what is obviously true after some introspection.  Conversely, if one obtains all their self validation from external sources I think that their internal conflict will be never ending.

This all is probably related to an individual's personality type and how they view themselves and interact with the world.

Independent of all that though is what steps an individual takes after making peace with themselves.  That I think is more highly dependent on a multitude of interdependent life circumstances.

Yes, I have done it lots of times and always get the same result, INFP (introversion, intuition, feeling, perception). Looking at the various INFP descriptions on the Internet I find that they describe me pretty accurately.

QuoteAs an INFP, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit into your personal value system. Your secondary mode is external, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.

Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker

Being INFP I think helped with figuring myself out and accepting what it was.  Unfortunately, it doesn't make it any easier to do something about it, especially without any information back in the 70s.  Then life just adds all sorts of entanglements and complications.

One thing about being INFP though is that I always feel like I'm existing in a whole other dimension of life from everyone else LOL.  And that's before even considering the TS stuff.

People have always considered me a bit eccentric I think which actually works to my advantage now as I'm growing my hair and making step by step adjustments.  I've always walked a path slightly divergent from the pack so people expect the unexpected.  :-)
