Fakes, double lives...

Hello everyone, this is going to be a harsh post but something happened to me which i am fuming about....

I was doing my charity work helping young transgender people.. ( when people get kicked out of there homes, getting hurt by family and when they feel like they have got no one to talk to, the serve i use gives them a friend to talk to and that is what i do ) when a "transgirl" came online and started to chat with me. Told me that they have been made homeless and they was using a library computer to talk to me. That they felt like they had bo hope.. So i was telling them that there are services for them and they dont need to feel alone, there is help out there.. And then about half way through i found something strange about the person they didnt seem the be who they was saying they was.. So i asked questions relating to transgenderisum. Regarding feelings and so on. The answers they gave me did not match up.. It turned out that this "transgirl" was an 40 yr old guy who was using the server in a negitive way. And using people like myself for his own kicks... Makes me sick....

Just be careful when your online..people are not always as they seem...

I just dont understand why people cant be honest. Why lie about your identity.. And use a server that is there to help people... So irritating..

Having lived closeted, hidden and in fear for so long, I can certainly understand why someone coping with being trans will/can lie about who they are inside.  Yes, it is fear based...but is also a defense mechanism that many LGBTQ subscribe to.

As for what you describe Lea, that is simply criminal and malicious.  It is something else entirely.

Katitylynn. I 100% agree that people who live in fear do have the need to hide who they are, because sometimes it can be dangerous for them to be out. And they need a false identity so they can get the help they need anonymous. And that is fine..

But i do draw the line when people take advantage and use that same consept in a negitive way. Just so they can get some form of kicks out of it.. There are so many people out there who do need genuine help and it is people like this who push people like myself away and it is not fair on them poor individuals.

Agreed Lea, hence the second part.  The individual's activities are reprehensible and appear to be aimed at harm.  Not overlooking and not downplaying that at all.

How awful! That's like someone calling in to a suicide prevention line pretending to be suicidal. There are some twisted people out there.

The moderators on the form and chat side try pretty hard to keep this site clean but we can't be everywhere. We have had people on this site for the wrong reasons so they are here as well.
