I just booked an appointment for MtF bottom surgery with Dr. Kathy Rumer scheduled for December 5th of this year. I was so excited, it's covered by my insurance, and the photos she showed were really impressive. Most of the reviews I read were good, but the few that were not good were REALLY not good. This morning I saw a photo of a recent (March 2017) surgery she did and the results were less than great.

I'm really starting to get scared. Like, thinking of calling it off scared. Any Rumer girls can reassure me? If I'm this scared, should I reconsider? I don't know what to do. I've wanted this all my life, but I have to live with this and it's really important to me.

I also haven't been able to find many photos online of results, anyone know of a site like Transbucket with result photos from her?

Any advice would be really appreciated thank you so much <3

I suggest you ask some questions to determine what happened. Sometimes the skin is damage or there may not be sufficient skin and a graft was required. Most surgeons can turn out consistent work so if something isn't up to their normal standard, it's an indication of a problem they had to work around. Surgery like this is customized from person to person making it more of an art than a science so results can vary.

My own experiences with Rumor's office have not been what I would call reassuring. First, a poorly done procedure for hair transplants. Second I called her office to set up an appointment to discuss FFS and breast augmentation. They missed our appointment over Skype, then called me the following week saying the appointment was then and being rude about my not being available to take it. I'm not saying Rumer isn't qualified. I'm just saying I don't trust her anymore. I am looking for a surgeon for my bottom surgery as well, but no way will I consider her again.

I've seen several in person result of Dr Rumor's work. Some good ones and some really bad ones.

The biggest complaint about her I hear from everyone (even the ones with good outcomes) and that the followup is very week with her. Rumor only came around once (at most twice) after surgery to see how they were doing. One that was really really bad, Dr Rumor ignored her plea that something was wrong and Rumor wouldn't even look at her and told her she was wearing underwear that was too tight. It turns out there was something really wrong and she had to go to a different surgeon (Dr Marcie Bowers) to try and get it fixed. Bowers did help with the pain she was having but a lot of damage from necroses had cause permanent damage and 3 years later she is still trying to get things fully resolved.
