Hi,
I did RFF phallo with semirigid implant, around 5 months ago. Last month though, because i didnt heal well i got infection, my stitches didnt close properly or i mispositioned my phallus, i got a silicon necrosis, or in short i got a hole and the silicon was showing. And i got a minor surgery to re-insert and re-position the silicon, and this is post 1 month and yeah i'm healing great.

So anyone has an implant could probably share how or what's the best way to take care the phallus? Like type of underwear to wear, what's the best way to position it, because honestly i'm still figuring it out, would be great if anyone could share.

Thanks

Hi,

I haven't been around this site in a while.  Weird that I show up today and find your post here.  I am getting my rod and implants as well, my surgery is set for Dec 11th with Dr. Chen in San Francisco.  Sorry you are having such a difficult time with your surgery.  I am hoping that I wont have any issues, as I will hopefully be returning to work 2 weeks later.  Can you tell me how your rod feels?  Is it uncomfortable? Can you pee ok?  As you have said you didn't heal well. I was wondering if it was because your implants were too big? I have so many damn questions about this procedure, because I am afraid its not going to feel right.  My balls are between my legs right now and I know he will have to reposition the sac.  Anyway, sorry for the long post, but I just have so many questions and those who have had the surgery are hard to find.  I hope you heal fast and get some answers.

I am interested in learning more about the semirigid and the three piece pump up devices, pros and cons.  Which is best for us or is it our choice.  With semirigid you are hard all the time and would have find a way of positioning your penis in your underwear so it didn't show.  The pump up ones are hard only when you pump it up.  Implants will be nice to have, I guess I will have to learn how to sit again and not sit on them.

I don't plan to start the phalloplasty process until mid-2017 at the earliest, but I, too, am concerned about my choices (no implant, implant, pump). I don't want to walk around with a permanent woody, but I also don't want something that isn't stiff enough to penetrate on its own (not that I expect to have another sex partner, but you never know). And I worry about what a semirigid penis will look like at the urinal.

I hope some other guys post here.

Hi alex, which method u'll be doing?
I was in the mess, coz i didnt rest enough, the doc said i walked too much, leading to infection i guess, which made the stitches didnt heal properly, but i'm doing great right now. I pee ok from the first time, after infection i got a small leak, but i healed quickly after antibiotic injection.
The rod still feel uncomfortable, but its getting better everyday, u know, at first it was weird to suddenly have something between ur legs.
It's great to have u guys responding, coz honestly i'm still in the dark too and need more answers from someone who is more experienced.
U could ask anything, i'm glad i could help, i was in ur shoe, i know how it feels.

Exactly! With the semirigid i have troubles with underwear, and how to position it, but i kinda figure it out now and i still want to experiment some method and i will get back to u. But sometimes it's good to look down and something is definitely there and looked big  ;D
So, from what i read, the pump device will last max 10yrs but in reality most of them wont last that long, i have read stories lots of cases that the pump slipped from the correct position (i forgot the right word) and need to remove and reimplant after sometimes. For me, i couldnt stand that much surgery or to redo it every 5-10yrs.
My doc said, if i could take care the semi rigid implant well, it would last for a lifetime. Thats why i'm going with the semi rigid. But i do hope in the future we have a better choice.
I hope i could help
