I'm biologically male looking for help to potentially transition to female.
I've started to look for a therapist and it's confusing. I'm hoping to use the knowledge of this group to help me along this road. I'm looking for a therapist to help me figure out what's been running through my head about my gender identity for the last 40+ years.
1) What degree(s) should I look for (all the letters after their name)?
2) What else should I consider?
3) Any therapist recommendations in the Chicago/NW Indiana/SW Michigan area?
