I've been looking into depilatory cream - since shaving my legs takes too long to be discrete and I can't really shave elsewhere with an electric razor, since that's all I know how to shave with. Also, I think waxing would take too long, but I don't know. It's just - well, my gender dysphoria gets pretty difficult whenever I see my body hair, and I'd like it to be gone for at least a week or two at a time. Has anyone else tried a depilatory hair removal cream? Does it work? How long does a bottle last?
Also, is it better to use a normal razor than an electric one?

Depilatory does work very well and will keep the hair gone a little longer than shaving.  Just do not try it on your face.  It will burn your skin and still leave the hair intact.

For shaving, if there is longer hair use a trimmer first to cut it short and then use a razor.  Razor shaving on short hairs doesn't take very long at all.

What's a good brand to use?

Try epilation on your legs. It's a machine that basically plucks your hair out.  I don't know about creams, but when I was getting a Brazilian wax, the hair was basically gone for about 2 weeks before I could feel it starting to grow back in. Then 4 more weeks of growth and another waxing.

I compare the two because the results are similar. Pulling the hair out versus using a cream to burn the hair off.  Seems like that would stop near the surface and regrowth would be noticeable to the touch in like 2-3 days or so.

For brands I have found them all to work the same.  So I don't think it makes any difference.

I'm going to have to agree with KristinaM on this one. Epilation is one of the best solutions since not only do you stay smooth for longer, it's also a one time investment as you only need the machine if you get one that can be used in water.

They can be a little pricey but I'd highly recommend checking them out.

As for the razor question from what I understand manual razors get a closer shave and a lot of people prefer them for that. I tried them before epilating and it seems to be true. (This might depend on the razor though)

Good luck with trying out the cream though! Id be curious to hear how you get on as I haven't tried it either.

Don't dismiss waxing! A good salon can do you in a few minutes and it reduces bady hair (sorry had to keep that misspelling!)

Many cismen get waxed, indeed I hate hairy men as lovers. It's just - gross

So salons are very use to waxing male bodies. So hide among the throng!

Have you ever seen a hairy wrestler on WWF etc? Or cage fighters in the UFC? Their hair didn't fall out, nor were they born hairless. So use their technique!

A hunky body of smooth hairless muscle makes you - run for a cold shower >:-)

Ooops!
