"Rick Harrison, star of the hit show Pawn Stars on the History Channel, said his support for presidential candidate Marco Rubio has cost him product endorsements, and he's worried his conservative views will cost him his show. Harrison told CNN he believes his endorsement last month will enrage the "massive liberal PC police" an — and he cited transgender bathroom accommodations as an example of what he fears. "

Again, we have these short-sighted individuals who freak out over MtFs in women's bathrooms and want to criminalize it, when the consequence that would occur from this is FtMs legally required to use the women's bathrooms.  Is this what they really want?

Conservatives love to whine about the "PC Police" when in reality its about being in a public position and espousing views that are highly distasteful to general society.

Its funny that they never complained about PC in past years when society still reflected their views and they were able to shut down opposing views in far more draconian ways than what are being used against them now..

Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being....  - Dan Barker

hey Stephanie and all :-)

What can I say; ignorance at its best.  Stupidity has a habit of getting its way, doesn't it?  I'm glad I have dual citizenship, as I fear that we are a president away from losing our country.  If you think things are bad now, just wait.

What I find hilarious is the publicly trans-phobic guys like Harrison are one of the first ones in line to hook up with one of us.  I can't even begin to tell you how many of them I've slept with (I am very wel known not only for my skills but for my off the charts level of discretion).

This is a very sad and a very serious state of affairs, and we, as a community, are going to need to make some kind of plan of action for when the fecal matter makes contact with the rotating blades of an air moving device (yeah, I made that up as I went along).  It's going to happen, and sooner than any of us care for it to do so.

Y'all be safe

The plan should be to not put all your eggs in one political party's basket.

Personally in my circle I have some pretty transphobic friends who are heavily right leaning. But they're relating to me now and it makes them stop and think twice. I'm someone they respect and admire. I came out as trans. I caught a lot of crap but people warmed up to me. I've even won a few converts who have new respect and understanding of transgender issues.

This is what we must do.

Being angry and depending on one party to save us will only lead to disappointment when the other party wins.

Play it smart, folks. Don't fall for the partisan trick. They want you divided and fighting each other while they run all the way to  the bank.

That's what appears to be our beloved president's plan, and he is doing a hell of a job at it.

People where I work are tolerant but you can see the discontent in their eyes.  They all are a bunch of Bible thumpers, but you would never guess by the way they speak of the LGBT community.  I have a horrific potty mouth and some of these "preachers' put my ass to shame!  But no big deal; I do what I do and don't let it bother me.  Their loss, not mine.  Yet there are those who are not in the least phased by it.  Sometimes all it takes is time.

It is OK to be angry, but don't hate.  Hatred is what will burn out of control, and once it gets going, there may be no stopping it.  Awareness is critical, as there are organized groups seeking out to do much harm to those of us in the LGBT community.  Anger can be used in a good way, so long as we take care to not let it turn into hate.  That's what they want so that before long, we're hating each other.

I so wish more of us could run for national offices; even if we would lose an election, we still win by bringing our issues to light and letting people see who we really are, like it or not.  Maybe one of these days......

Be safe

Marlo
