I agree up to a point. If your ftm you might not be safe in the mens rm. Same with mtf,i use the womans when dressed but I'm in and out fast.I think tgs should have separate bathrooms for everyone's safety. If mtf were allowed full access to women's locker rooms it would not be long before a predator dresses in drag too accost the cis women. Besides you think women want to see the dangling parts? Ftm in a male locker room is asking for trouble, let a man see your female body while showering and see what happens.

Ben Carson is trying to FORCE trans people to use separate bathrooms. I'm all for having a gender-neutral bathroom as an available option, because of this very safety reason you speak of. But not a requirement. Having it as mandatory means that all of us, even completely stealth completely binary trans people, can NEVER just be normal members of their identity gender.

It's not about safety. The bathrooms are ALWAYS a dangerous place for us. It's about making it impossible for a vast proportion of the trans spectrum to EVER be normal in society's eyes.

I REFUSE to be segregated to a different bathroom. I'm a woman. Not a single person in my entire working life or personal life would ever think otherwise, and forcing me to use a different bathroom would basically be taking away my ability to just be seen as a normal person. I refuse.

The irony of this statement that he made is simply breathtaking.

People do not want to be known as trans in the first place.
If he intends to make *Trans Only* Bathrooms he will
be shocked to note that no one will use em. I mean for
real here is that fact that many FtM and MtF's do not
want to be singled out like that. They want to be known
as man or woman just like everyone else. I mean can you
imagine having to have the sex talk with your little
one because instead of two bathrooms there is this *Other*
one and when people use that other bathroom they get odd looks.
I can not wait until we get a Transgender Politician!
I mean basically if Carson is elected president, plan on trans hate
crimes going up as well as suicides. Why? well for one it singles
us out to all them bullies for one and puts us in a very unsafe situation.

I hope and pray he is NOT the next president, if he gets elected I don't
know what I would do.
