I think looking back to your first puberty may be helpful. My skin has always been abysmal. It started getting bad when I was 13 and didn't look halfway decent until I was about 20. I've noticed that my breakouts are centered around when my period would've been if I was still having it, so I'm hoping it'll calm down once I have a hysto. I have heard things start to calm down around the 2 year mark, if that helps.

So, I had the opposite experience.

In puberty, I had nice skin.  No problems at all.  It was in my 20's that I got really bad cystic acne.  The very-bad-for-you Accutane is the only thing that worked.  I have a lot of scars on my face.

Since I started T I have the acne again.  It is a constant battle.  I use oral and topical medication and it is still bad.  I wash my face twice a day and use acne pads throughout the day too.  I have even started to use the topical gel during the day too, even though it is only supposed to be used at night.  I am really trying to avoid accutane.  I am glad it is at least not cystic.  It is more like the spots never go away.  They calm down and then get angry again.  It is weird.

Like you, it seems to flare up once a month as if it was period time.  That really bothered/bothers me.

I got a hysto two months ago and if anything, my acne has gotten worse.  My acne was at it's worse when my T levels were too high.  It simmed down after I lowered the dose.  I haven't had my levels checked since my hysto, but it is possible they have gone up, which would explain the increase in acne.  I am going to ask that my levels get checked when I hit 3 months after hysto.  The acne has also drifted down to being on my neck too, since hysto.

So, Max, for me, worse after hysto, which may be because levels are up.  It has only been two months, so I can't tell if the "it gets worse once a month" has gone away or not.  That makes me dysphoric, by the way.

Do you eat lots of junk food ?
Or food with artificial ingredients... like ready meals ?

Do you drink lots of water ?

Alone switching to drinking more water might help...
you might give it a try...
