Some of you may remember my post about my new job and how much I was supported even tho Im handicapped and how most didn't even know I was trans bc a friend I knew from b4 helped me go in steath (plus men have to wear beard masks). Well everything was going great! There was another Trans But MTF that started with me in my department and we hit it of nicely at first. Then I was moved to the back room where it was not cold and I was unsupervised most of the night but lots of people in and out. She had to stay in the colder areas cleaning and The other guys on the team said She was lazy and was always late and leaving early. I was there every night and always ready to get it done. Our whole team was dudes and (they all could see she was transitioning but never were they mean about it). She thought she should be telling us what to do and not working. well the supervisors saw all this stuff and didn't like her ( they expressed this in or sit down).
Well one night The MTF. Named Sharlet for the purposes of this. Comes up to me and says She thinks we are both going to get fired bc "we are the only two females and you had to be moved to the back room so now they are short and we are useless to them..." at that point I snapped and let her know politely that Im not female and that I get down like the rest of the guys here when they ask me to and walked away. She perceeded to follow me outside to break and in front of all these people tried to continue the conversation as if I was joking when I said I didn't want to talk about it several times. She didn't seem to get that. Then I had to help in the same room and she tries telling me what to do then tries taking over what Im doing so i walked away and went to another room. She does this to me again but this time in the backroom that I work in every night. Luckily that time my supervisor was in the room and saw her doing it. I left but my supervisor called me in the office and asked what was going on? I explained and they told me they knew she was trouble but they liked me better and i was a hard worker and a good man! Man! They said They would talk to her and not put us together anymore. Then I come back after two days off and its like one of those erie themed songs is playing in the background as I walk thru the halls sayin what up to all the guys but it wasnt the same. They all looked at me different half smiles and weirded out looks. Maybe i was paranoid but then I walk pass Sharlet and one of the lil chics that had been eyen me since i started and they both are looking at me the chic with a weirded out look. I couldnt take it. It was like your biggest deepest secret was out but u didnt get to prepare or tell it. Im sure she outted me to the supervisors when they called her in to talk about what happened. Bc they to acted different.
Now that Ive had time to think about it, could it be that She was jealous that i passed and fit in with this particular crowd? I feel betrayed by my own kind. Like because She didn't pass well and didn't want to do the job She took off out on me. I took some time off and my cousin helped me go get my job back but Im thinking of moving department's or shifts. Anyone else have haters Like this ? I don't get it. She turned into one of the people we were both up against. Its sad really. Any feedback would be great this has really hurt me and Im not even sure i want to return to work now.
