Polo

So I'm not needle-phobic but I have kind of sensitive skin/nerves, and it can sting like a mo-fo sometimes, especially in the beginning which kind of makes me nervous.  Part of it was me getting used to it I guess, but I figured out a couple of tricks:

1 - Do it after a shower, the hot water softens the skin
2 - Make sure you're relaxed!
3 - This is the kinda strange one, but with your free hand, gently scratch your skin right next to where you inject as your injecting.  Our brain is designed to dismiss sensations that we give to ourselves (its why we can't tickle ourselves), and it lessens or totally gets rid of the sting every time.
