Since there is no separate forum for those who write things that aren't (just) words, I will open a small topic in this corner. :)

Since childhood, I am writing music. About 200+ works started so far. Many finished. Only a limited number is available in my PC. All my works that are published are under my man-name, so that shall be a lot of work to transfer, usually by recreating video with the right name, and then rooting out all instances that mention man's one. And software I used before to produce videos isn't working on my new PC anymore. All in all, it is like tooth repairs with rusty, barely working tools.

Today I finally managed to migrate one work and publish it under my chosen name. It is a prelude followed by a fugue for harpsichord. Stuff people colloquially call 'classical music'. I hope someone here enjoys it. :)

very pretty :D
I'm a sucker for harpsichord!
I was even able to "thumbs up" it. I look forward to hearing more. is it a software harpsichord? sounds nice, I haven't found a nice sounding one yet and my old sampler I used to use is currently dead. if you're into orchestral arrangements there is a great software package called Orchestral it's by Ederol, if you haven't tried it yet it's highly recommended :)

I love hearing works / music and art by other Trans folk :)
I've done music for most of my life as well, but kind of retired a while back, just finding my new voice and style now (actually taking a break from the studio to hear this) but I look forward to sharing stuff soon here.

Thank you! :)

Yes, it is a soundfont. I am a composer; used to perform and work with choir of children but always depending on some entity to give me piano access so I can practice. Only got my piano before age 32. I am not a performer anymore.

The soundfont group should be still floating around on the web under names:
Harpsicord Campbells Tuned (9,841KB).sf2
Harpsicord Campbells (9,840KB).sf2

They have multiple presets to select from. It is also true I have trouble with recording orchestral music. Thus will look up "Orchestral it's by Ederol" eventually. :) Thank you for the tip.

Love it!

I do hard rock/metal generally, but I have written some "classical" passages for guitar and *clears throat* rudimentary ones on keyboard.

Sometimes I like to rock out with my Bach out like Blackmore and Malmsteen.

Delightful!  I had quite a thing for harpsichord music when I was younger and it's been a long time since I last took the time to listen to a harpsichord piece.  Thank you so much for sharing your music with us Martine.

Hey, thank you people for the kind words.

Here is more. I also have good moments, but my recordings could appreciate a better string ensemble. ^-^ I would say it is a common issue with soundfonts that string ensembles are the weak spot.

And this is my other work for Harpsichord. That fugue is a bit extended by a non contrapuntal episode before finale.
